The Nightmare

Once again it happened almost the same as the previous ones, except I was not on land. Underwater I could breath without any problems like I did a month ago. Deep below the Ocean I could barely see anything but darkness. The darkness spread across the area as I could only make out a few shapes of the marine life.

It felt strange to be underwater like this because of the fact that I would usually just simply surf, and catch the next big wave that would come. To just simply see another world deep below was quite nerve wrecking.

Out of no where a voice called out to me as my heart almost stopped. Sweat dripped down from my face as I asked myself if this was possible. The man showed up with this time the lower half of his body looked like a shark fin, almost similar to Takeshi. His teeth razor sharp along with the gray eyes that stared into the fabric of my soul, it was as if death wanted to claim me earlier than expected. Frozen in fear I not do anything but just simply scream out for help, but I could not scream or make any noise out of my mouth.

As the water quickly began to all come into my lungs I felt the need to get air, but yet I could not move at all. The man was still swimming after me just only a few feet away from me. What could I do, either die of lack of air or from a shark guy ripping my body to shreds.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't be there for you when you needed me the most" A much familiar voice said as it called out toward me.

"M-mom is that you?" I asked  out for a brief moment.

"This was my fault for everything I wished that I knew but I was too late to help you"

"What are you talking about mom?" I asked confused as the shark guy got close. " Please tell me"

"I'm sorry" The voice then vanished as I felt the temperature get cold.

The nightmare then ended with screams in the background, agonizing screams that begged for life. As the shark guy then got close and bitten me on the leg only to discover that my blood was jet black in the water. Darkness continued to surround me as the shark continued to rip into my body as the screams got even more loud. The pain I felt was not like any other as I let out a scream as the water caved into my lungs.

Reality

I jumped up terrified clenching my chest with my right hand very tight. My heart racing through the roof as I examined my leg only to find it in one piece. Absolutely nothing made sense in that dream, it was not something any normal sane person could just dream up from out of the blue.

I wanted to forget the dream that I had along with the several things that had been going on since Takeshi's arrival here.Things after Christmas day all died down and things became quiet as I had this vivid nightmares, dreams that I could not quite understand at the time.  I wanted that day to be something special, a day where I just have fun and stop being uptight about things.

Still in my room with my briefs still on under the covers during a cold morning, I could not find anything interesting to do. That day proved to be a boring day with nothing on TV and bad weather outside. I looked over at my surf board to find it collecting dust, it felt like ages since the last time I surfed.Where I can go dive under the ocean and surf the waves freely again. With the only problem to that being is that I live with a merman and that most people are outside sunbathing on the beach.

I wished that I could try bring him into the water discreetly, but I am afraid that even if I try someone will see him and try taking pictures. Posting all around social media and eventually it will gather attention with the authorities getting involved. If found out about the existence of his species this would cause an uproar.

Takeshi was sound asleep next to me as he snored a bit, it was somewhat cute at first but eventually it became annoying. With his beautiful blond long and soft peachy skin. Rubbing my hand on his face as he twitches a little.

Leaning close  to gently touched his wrist."Takeshi its time to wake up" Telling him while rubbing on his face softly as his eyes open slowly looking into mine.

"Good morning Nagi did you need anything?" Takeshi asked  yawing as he got sat himself up on the couch.

"No I just wanted to wake you just so that we could talk about a few things" I said to him as he smiled.

I then got out of bed and walked toward the slide door in my room. As I go to open up the blinds with light coming into my dimmed room.

"Each morning we wake up is a gift that we should cherish because its a chance to live." I tell him looking at a pictures of my grandfather and mentor. "At least that is what they told me before they crossed over"

"I see that you like to keep yourself motivated throughout the day by saying that kind of stuff?"

"It gives me a purpose to go out there and seek a happy ending for myself"

"A happy ending" Takeshi asked himself. "Nothing is good is always meant to last Nagi"

"I know I..I just want that even if it sounds unrealistic its something I believe that can happen for me"

"Nagi are you feeling ok you just don't seem like your usual self"

An eerie nose of a whale could be heard in my ear as my eyes grew wide I looked at my hands to see whether or not I was dreaming. Takeshi grabbed my arm as he got close to me, I could hear the whale singing into my ear as I just wanted to make it stop.

Then it stopped for a moment and then I heard a voice."The game is almost over" Just as he said that I looked directly at Takeshi.
