Ever since last night after finding out who Takeshi was I could not stop thinking about it. It seemed surreal that the boy I met a couple of years ago was Takeshi, a boy who heard my cries come to comfort me.
The only thing that I regret was not being able to get a chance to talk to him some more about his life.
The next morning a knock appears at my slide door as I wake up. With sleep under my eyes barely getting out of bed as putting on slippers. As I walk toward the door hearing a familiar voice from the other side.
"Its time to wake up bright and early Nagisa did you for lazy bone that you promised to surf with me" Riku said followed by another bang to the slide door.
"Um I can't Riku" leaning my head against the door "I have a cold and I didn't want you to catch it Riku"
"Dude how the heck can you catch a cold in 90 degree weather " Riku says banging on the door. " Look I tried that trick before Nagisa you cant fool a trickster "
Waking up from his sleep to hear the noise of loud bangs"Um Nagisa who is that?" Takeshi asked
"Just a friend of mine who can be very demanding and..." just before I could finish my sentence the key turns as the door opens from the front door.
Me and Riku since junior high were always very close friends. His parents agreed with mine to keep an eye on me for now on. It seemed like when I met him that I began to realize what I was worth. He was one of the people who I am glad to have me.
As our love for surfing and the ocean grew dreaming of one day exploring the oceans. Riku also was one of the first along with Nicole who I told that I was gay to. Shocking me as he also came out to me as well. But he couldn't let anyone else know this in fear of his father taking away everything.
Running down the hallway and downstairs to the front door, my pulse racing with a cold chill going down my spine.
"Riku how did you get into my house?" I asked him confused and spooked.
"Remember you gave me the key to the house bro" Riku replied twiddling the keys up in the air.
"Riku you cannot come in I-I'm having a party later on"
"Don't make me laugh dude you hate being around a large group of people" Riku said pushing me back as he walk all the way into my house.
"Isn't that invasion of privacy just going all the way into my house"
"Aw come on Nagisa I always did this before when dad decides to do a magic trick and disappear you let me spent the night here together" Riku said opening the the fridge taking a bite of leftover fish fillet.
"That's my leftovers you animal!" I exclaimed.
"Aw come on Nagisa what are you hiding from me now" Riku asked, opening each room door downstairs.
"Its rude to go snooping around someone's house"
"It doesn't apply when you already gave me the key for emergencies" Riku said, closing the last door downstairs.
Always being a wild card with his unpredictable nature. It was a matter of time before he would soon find out the secret hiding inside of my room. No matter how hard I may try to hide it from him he will eventually find out.
