First day. New school. Melvin couldn't stop panicking. This was a good school. Academically he'll blow this place away. Popularity wise? He was a dud. Light brown hair and hazel eyes, With his yellow pants with bright purple suspenders and green and white checkered shirt, he thought he looked great. Everyone on the bus just pointed and laughed. All he did was sit down and fix his glasses with more tape.
Stepping foot through the doors was the scariest thing he's ever done. The place was in total chaos. Everyone jumping and running and laughing it was a wonder he could even hear his own thoughts.
'Just walk by no one will notice you. Just keep your head down and walk fast.' This is what he repeated to himself while he walked. Then a big guy had to ruin it.
"Look everybody! Fresh meat!"
There was a pretty girl next to him and she burst out laughing saying "Oh Carmon!" Melvin thought it was pretty obvious that she was all over him.
Melvin tried to just walk away, but Carmon wasn't finished. He slammed Melvin up against a locker.
"Woah! Got somewhere to be little guy? What's your name?"
"Melvin," he just whispered.
"I couldn't hear you, you little piece of shit I said what's your name!?"
A hand landed on Carmon's shoulder, and a tan dirty blonde pulled him back.
"Dude what the hell is your problem?" The blonde looked mad. Melvin didn't know why he would help him. He was in the same group with Carmon. Shouldn't he be helping his friend?
"Alex? What are you talking about?" This is when Carmon turned to smile at Melvin.
'I have got to get out of here' thought Melvin.
"I'm talking about what your doing to, I'm sorry I truly didn't hear your name."
"Melvin. M-my na-names Melvin sir."
The boy who he knew the name of now, Alex, looked at him and laughed. "Sir? Dude don't call me that. It's Alex."
Now Alex turned to Carmon. "Come on it's the first day! Leave the poor guy alone."
After that, Carmon released Melvin and he fell to the floor.
"Fine Alex, take all the fun out of trying to 'welcome' the new dork."
"Melvin. I believe his name is Melvin. Chill with the 'dork' and 'nerd' shit alright?"
After that the group walked away but the crowd that came after Carmon's scene remained. 'Shrug it off. Act like your fine. You'll take care of it later.' He just kept chanting this to himself.
"Hey. I saw what happened and I'm really sorry." A beautiful girl stood above him. Well everyone in this place seemed to be gorgeous. But this girl .... She had something special. It was Bailey Wilk.
"I'm fine.." Melvin couldn't lie to save his life.
"It's ohkay. I'm not going to bring that ass back here. And sorry about them again. My friends can be a little bit jackassy sometimes. Oh, and by the way, I'm Bailey. I'm Alex's sister."
Now that he thought about it, he could see the resemblance. She has the same honey blonde hair color. The same emerald eyes. But her hair was down to the middle of her back. Her eyes had a hint of blue. She had on dark makeup but she didn't need it. She was as thin as a rake and she has on a perfect denim jean skirt paired with a jeweled neon pink tank top.
"Thanks for coming up to talk to me I'm Melvin."
"Well Melvin I hope I see you around." And with that she turned and walked away.
"Yeah, I hope I see you too.." He said this almost as a whisper to himself.
