Taylor p.o.v.

I feel so numb without him. Without hearing his little laughs, his voice, his smile. His everything. I feel like I can't think straight anymore, like I can't do anything. I feel so alone without him, so cold. Everytime I close my eyes the memories comes back.

The ambulance pulls up to the hospital. Paramedics take Shawn out of there and roll him inside. I follow them, with tears in my eyes as I see Shawn get pulled to the emegency room.

I fought to follow him in, but they wouldn't let me. I screamed Shawn's name over and over again, but all that did was give me a sore throat. The doctors sedated me after that. I was out like a light for an hour.

When I woke up, I was no longer in my bloody pants. I was in some hospital gown, all cleaned up from Shawn's blood. When he got hit by the pumpkin truck I ran over to him and held him in my arms. I yelled for people to help and somebody called 911. When the ambulance came they forced me to let go and I followed them into the truck.

I could feel the tears fall again as I thought about what happened. It was all my fault. If I had just stopped the drunk girl from kissing me, if I just ran a little faster, if I had just pushed her away sooner, Shawn wouldn't have been here. After a little cry session, I force myself to stop and go find Shawn.

I asked a nurse where his room was and she pointed me to it. I walked over to it. I waited outside the door for a couple minutes, preparing myself for the worst. When I had enough courage, I pushed the door open and I gasped at the sight. Shawn connected to so many machines, with cords everywhere. His eyes were closed and he was bandaged up a lot. I could see a few bruises on his face. This wasn't right. Shawn shouldn't be stuck here, he should be out and free, not connected to a machine.

As I watched him, I heard the two voices that just broke my heart. "Daddy."

I turned and saw Drew and Danny a couple feet behind me, as they looked into the room. I saw there little eyes start to fill up with tears. "Daddy," they screamed again and ran to the door. I caught them before they could get in. I picked them up and walked away with them kicking and screaming. I couldn't let them see there father like this.

"Daddy...Daddy," they cried out. They kept fighting me, but I couldn't let them go. They screamed for him and they screamed to see him. "I want daddy. I want daddy. I want daddy," they kept on screaming.

Them crying for him was just breaking my heart. This felt like one of the worst nightmares in the world. Hearing them scream for there daddy, while he's unconscious and not knowing.

When they finally stopped fighting they started to cry on my shoulder and I tried to sooth them the best I could.

"Taylor," I hear Cam say. I look up and see him and Ash running over to me. "Is he..." he couldn't finish his sentence.
"No, I saw him. He's unconscious, but from what I could see, he is in critical condition."

Cam covers his mouth as I see a few tears fall from his face.

"Daddy," I heard them sniffle.

There's a knock on the door and I stand up to open it. When I get to the door, I look over at Shawn's limp body. It's about three weeks since the accident and Shawn was still in a coma. Most of his injuries have healed and he no longer is on life support. He's actually pretty okay, except for the being asleep part.

I open the door and I see Cam and the kids outside. The kids have been like zombies since the accident. They would rarely play, eat, or sleep. They were as lifeless as Shawn. I felt so helpless seeing them be like that.

"Hey," Cam greeted with a sad smile and walking in.

"Hey," I said back.

The kids just stare at Shawn as they clutch their matching teddy bears. Cameron said it was the first stuffed animal Shawn got them and it was always their favorite.

Danny walks up to Shawn and holds his hand. Drew does the same to Shawn's other hand. "Please wake up daddy. I pwomise I'll be a good boy," Danny pleads with a few tears in his eyes.

"Please daddy. I no ask for anything on Chwistmas," Drew says.

"I'll give you all my toys."

"I'll give you all my crayons."

"Please wake up," they both say. The whole scene is sad to watch. To see two kids beg for their father to wake up.

The door opens and Doctor Maloley walks in. "Hello," he greets us.

"Hey," we all mumble back.

Dr. Maloley then starts telling us on how Shawn's doing, but I really don't listen. It's all the same, everyday. When he's done, he says goodbye and leaves the four of us here with Shawn.
Cam grabs my shoulder and then takes me outside of the room and closing the door. "What," I ask him.

"Taylor, you need to go back to work," he says.

"What?" I'm shock at what he's asking me. "You want me to just leave Shawn here alone."

He shakes his head. "Taylor, you need to deal with the possibility of Shawn not waking up or at least not for a while. You can't waste your life waiting."

"And I can't waste my life at work," I scream back.

"Taylor please. Shawn wouldn't want you to waste your life like this."

"You're not him, so you don't know what he wants."

Before he can say anything back, we hear a scream from the room. I push the door open and quickly run in.

My jaw drops, when I see Shawn's eyes open. He was hugging his children from the side. "Shawn," I whisper as tears fall. I run over to him and give the three of them a big hug. The kids giggle at the action and I just smile. I soon let go and look at his eyes. "How are you doing?"

"Great," he says cheerfully looking at me. And then the next few words he says make my heart drop. "Who are you though?"
