Hello all! I know it has been an incredibly long time. I want to say thank you to the ones that have been patient with me. As most of you know I WAS pregnant and the journey is now over....or just beginning. Whatever way you want to look at it.
Just to give you a little insight on what has been happening the past few months. In October I was taken out of work and put on bedrest due to being diagnosed with preeclampsia. It was a slow process from there not being due to December. I felt completely bored in my new house. I didn't have cable for almost the first month and I still don't have internet because everyone around here refuses to hook any up to my house.
Skip forward a couple months of complications with doctor's appointments, baby issues, blood pressures, and swelling so bad that my face looked drooped on one side and I had to wear my stepdad's size 12 shoes. I went to my scheduled doctor's appointment on December 4th (I was due the 5th). I told my doctor I had been having contractions and every time I had one I felt wet. He checked me over and checked my blood pressure. Because it was way higher than what it normally had been with preeclampsia he sent me over to labor and delivery to be monitored. Little did I know that I wouldn't be leaving without a baby.
He induced me for my safety and the baby's. 19 ½ long hours of labor and an epidural that didn't work later I welcomed my little girl, Addilynn, into the world. We had to stay in the hospital for a week because complications arose for the both of us post delivery. After correcting everything in the hospital we were sent home and this has just been the beginning. Weekly doctor's appointments because the little one has a weak immune system. Came home to having no power and had to move back in with my parents for the time being. It has been a fun adventure these past few months but I know that it truly is just beginning.
That was a long winded "Here's what's been going on." Lol. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who is still steadily sticking with me and I hope that you guys will continue to along this crazy journey.

To say that Norman's son looked exactly like him was an understatement. They had the same eyes, same facial features, and same hair. Though now getting a good look at his mother, I could see that he looked exactly like her as well. Norman pulled back from his embrace and turned to face me.
"Vi," his voice came softly. I slowly closed the gap between us. "This is my son, Mingus. Mingus, this is Violet, but you can call her Vi," Norman said. I stooped a little to his level and he gave me a big cheesy grin. I took note that he was missing a couple of his baby teeth.
"What's up, pretty lady?" he asked me. I couldn't help but laugh as Norman groaned. "Mingus," Norman said. I could tell that he was trying to correct him but at the same time he was trying to not to laugh at his nine year old trying to be smooth.
"Well aren't you something else," I said while holding my hand out to Mingus. He slapped me a five before taking a step towards his dad. I stood back up and looked at Mingus's mom who had a look on her face that I couldn't read. Then a small smile came across her face.
"I'm Helena, it's nice to meet you Violet," she said while holding her hand out to me. I shook her hand and gave her a smile in return. "It's nice to meet you as well," I said before dropping my hand. "I hate to be rude but I have a meeting I have to get too. Norman, I will be picking Mingus up in the late morning," Helena said.
