"You can't be serious! Then how did you cook? How did you eat?!" I asked him. It was early the next morning, Norman and I were laying on his bed learning more about each other. "I don't know, but I managed," he told me. I rolled my eyes slightly.

He decided to share with me that he had just only bought a microwave a few months ago. I seriously don't know how he survived without one. Microwaves were useful for everything. Norman chuckled and blew out some smoke at the same time.

"You are a crazy man," I told him. "Tell me something else about yourself," he said. I tapped my fingers against my chin lightly trying to think of something else. "Hm, okay, I eat my French fries with mayonnaise," I said. I looked up at Norman to see his eyebrows arched slightly.

His cigarette was dangling loosely in between his index and middle finger. I could tell that he was trying to process what I had just said. "Are you serious?" he asked me. I laughed. "Why are you looking at me like I just grew three more heads?" I asked him.

Norman stamped out his cigarette and moved closer before wrapping his arm around me. "I'm not, I promise. I've just never heard of eating French fries that way," he said, "I hate peanut butter, mayonnaise, and pickles, so I guess we all like and dislike our own things," he said.

My eyes became wide at that point. "What?" he asked me. "How can you hate pickles?" I asked him. He shrugged. "I don't know. They've never tasted good to me I guess," he said. I reached forward and gently poked him in the cheek a couple times.

"What are you doing?" Norman asked while chuckling. I poked him again for good measure. "Making sure you're human because I don't know anybody that doesn't like pickles," I said. Norman laughed again before kissing my forehead. "You are one crazy girl," he said.

"But that's what keeps me young at heart," I said. Norman's phone started to ring and I handed it to him seeing as it was sitting in front of me. "I'll be right back," I said as he answered it. He smiled and waved me off as I got off the bed. I went into the kitchen, got myself a bottle of water, and poured Norman a cup of coffee before adding a little bit of creamer to it.

By the time I made it back to the bedroom Norman was off the phone but now I could tell something was wrong. He was pinching the bridge of his nose and his eyes were shut tight. "Is everything alright?" I asked him. Norman looked up instantly.

I gave him a small smile before handing him the coffee. He took it gratefully and took a sip before patting the bed beside him. I sat down and twisted the cap off of my water. "Helena just called," he started out. I arched an eyebrow at him. "And?" I asked him wanting him to continue.
