"Thank you, goodnight!" Tyler yelled into the microphone before he unplugged his guitar and walked off stage. I was there to greet him in the wings. "Dude! You killed it!" I said as I hugged him. He moved his guitar out of the way and hugged me back. "That felt so good!" he said excitedly.
Tonight was the opening night of tour. Tonight was Tyler's first night on stage and he killed it. We had been friends for years and I knew when they suggested I go on tour that Tyler would be the perfect opening act for me. Our music styles were pretty much the same and it was easy to play together.
"Vi! Five minutes!" one of the crew members said as he walked past me. I nodded and looked at Tyler who didn't have his guitar anymore. "Go get some water and take a break. You'll be joining me back on stage soon," I said. He nodded and wished me luck before walking into the darkness of the wings.
I was handed a microphone and my hair and makeup was touched up as I placed my in ear monitors in. The bass and drums of my new single starts playing in my ears. "Ready?" my stage manager asked and I nodded as she pushed me towards the stage. Even though I had in monitors I could hear the screams. I stepped out on stage and started singing.
I know your dirty little secret
Baby did you think that I was really gonna keep it?
You see here's the thing
You were so high aboce me, kept me under your thumb
You broke all the rules and told me to hold my tongue
Well you had your fun and I'm officially done
Playing alongI hope you're shaking in your boots
Wondering when I'm gonna shoot this arrow
Cause after all you put me through
I gotta set the record straight and narrow
I got you where I want you
I'm coming back to haunt you
I caught you and I'm not gonna let it go
Telling everyone the truth about what you did is only fair so
I'm gonna shoot this arrowYou gave me all the ammunition
I could ever need and honey you made that decision
When you started fucking with me
It's just a matter of time before I'm ready to talk
And when I decide to you'll be shit out of luck
It's too late to try to keep on shutting me up
So save your breathI hope you're shaking in your boots
Wondering when I'm gonna shoot this arrow
Cause after all you put me through
I gotta set the record straight and narrow
I got you where I want you
I'm coming back to haunt you
I caught you and I'm not gonna let it go
Telling everyone the truth about what you did is only fair so
I'm gonna shoot this arrowYou dug your own grave
Don't get mad at me
For putting you in it
You wanted to play
Your twisted game
But baby I'm winning
Didn't expect that, did ya?I hope you're shaking in your boots
Wondering when I'm gonna shoot this arrow
Cause after all you put me through
I gotta set the record straight and narrow
I got you where I want you
I'm coming back to haunt you
I caught you and I'm not gonna let it go
Telling everyone the truth about what you did is only fair so
I'm gonna shoot this arrowThe crowd erupted in screams as I removed one of my monitors to hear them. "Hello New York!" the screams got louder. "Y'all sound beautiful!" I said as I nodded to my band to start the next song. I watched as the pit started jumping up and down to the beat and it got me excited as I started my second song.
I never feared the unexpected

"New York! You have been fabulous! Thank you so much for a great opening night! I'm Violet Johansson! This is Tyler Hilton, see you next time!" Tyler and I took one last bow before heading off the stage. I instantly gave Tyler a huge hug. "How do you feel?" I asked him as someone handed us towels and water bottles.
We started walking back towards our dressing rooms. "I'm already loving this tour and it's only been one night!" he said as he reached his dressing room door. Mine was right across from his. "Get a shower! I'll see you in thirty to get on the bus," I said. He nodded and opened his door while I turned to mine.
I opened the door and tossed my towel on the table that was right before the door. I stripped off my boots and flopped on the couch trying to catch my breath for a second. I stood up after a few minutes and went to the joining bathroom. I grabbed my toothbrush and started brushing my teeth.
After rinsing my mouth of toothpaste, I washed my face of all the makeup that was on it. "You look more beautiful without all that stuff on your face," I jumped and turned to the doorway. "What are you doing here?!" I asked as I instantly jumped in his arms and wrapped my legs around his waist.
He chuckled and backed me up to the bathroom counter and sat me down on it. "I thought you had to be in Georgia yesterday?!" I couldn't believe he was standing in front of me right now. "Are you kidding me? And miss your opening night? I wouldn't dare," he said as his lips pressed against mine.
I kissed him back eagerly before pulling back. "But you had a flight!" I said. He smiled. "Yeah, I missed it," he said. I smacked his chest lightly. "Norman! You can't do that!" I said. He kssed me again and ran his hand through my curls. "It's okay, I called and told them what was going on. They wanted to book another flight, but I told them I have other ways to get down there," he said.
"You think you can just use me for rides?" I said knowing my tour schedule and that we were heading to Georgia within the week. He smiled. "How can I pay you back?" he asked me. I chuckled and grabbed his wrist to look at his watch. I still had twenty minutes before I had to be on the bus. "Oh I think you know," I said as I grabbed his shirt and crashed my lips to his.
