"Bitch!" Cynthia exclaimed as she opened the door. That's how we always greeted each other but right now I wasn't feeling it. "Oh...my God, get in here," she said while pulling me through the door once she saw me. She shut the door behind me and started checking me over.

"Are you alright?" she asked me while grabbing me by the arm. "I'm fine," I said quietly looking at the ground. "Come on, Vi, let's go get you-," "I said I'm fine," I reiterated through gritted teeth. Cynthia's eyes became a little wide and she slowly let go of my arm.

"Al-alright," she said softly. She grabbed both of my suitcases and walked up the stairs. I slowly walked through her house until I arrived at the bathroom. I flipped on the light and looked in the mirror. I looked like a total train wreck. I sighed and searched for a brush.

My messy bun was practically falling out of the ponytail holder and the little make up that I did have on was trying to cover up the marks and the bruises littering my face. I ran the brush through my hair and pulled my hair back up into a better looking messy bun.

I turned the faucet on and made sure the water was cool before bending down and splashing some of it on face. After doing it a couple more times I blindly reached for a towel. Once I found one I patted my face dry and stood up straight. When I looked in the mirror, I jumped.

I was no longer alone in the bathroom. "What are you doing here?" I asked as my eyes connected with theirs through the mirror. "I came to make sure you were okay," they said. I rolled my eyes. "I told you I didn't need you fighting my battles for me," I said.

I turned around and leaned against the sink as Sean leaned against the wall. "What did he do to you?" he asked me. I scoffed. I thought looking at me was obviously. You could see the bruises and the cuts from the battle him and I had. "You alright?" he asked me.

I gave him a slight nod. "I'm f-," my head dropped as I felt the tears burning my eyes. I tried to quickly wipe a couple away as they fell. I was hoping that Sean wouldn't see but seeing as his arms instantly went around me I knew he had. HE pulled me into him.
