The only thought racing through my mind was there is no way I'm being held hostage again. I clamped my teeth down on their hand and thrust my head back jerking away from the body holding onto mine.
I was just about to punch them a familiar voice sounded. "Bloody hell (y/n)! I came to warn you and you bite me!"
"Claude?!" I questioned.
I saw his gold eyes stare back at me and I leapt into his arms. "I missed you"
"Missed you to little one" He said hugging me back. I was the only one that saw this soft side to Claude and I loved it.
He put me down and punched his arm. "I can't believe you tried to kidnap me"
"I'm avoiding the girl your with." He mumbled
"Why?"
"I may or may not have slept with her last week then snuck out the next morning" He mumbled again.
"You what!?!" I asked shocked
"A guys got needs." He stated.
"Who are you and what did you do with my best friend?" I said crossing my arms.
"It's been a hundred years since you saw me, I do change." He stated crossing him arms again.
"Didn't think you would change that much" I pouted.
"How was your trip? Find anything out useful?" He asked uncrossing his arms.
"Yeah actually. I'll fill you in over a coffee?" I asked.
"Sure." He said.
We were about to walk off when suddenly Sebastian and Julie came running round the corner. Both of them stopping dead in their tracks. The fear that was plastered over Sebastian's face had me subconsciously moving closer to him, reassuring him I was ok. The look on Julie's face however..
"YOU!?!" She screamed before stalking up too Claude and slapping him square in the face. Confirming his story to indeed be true.
"What is going on?" Sebastian asked walking up behind me and wrapping his arms round my waist protectively
"Claude and Julie slept together but Claude snuck out the next day. And I think based on that slap, Julie is pissed" I told him.
"Claude? You told me your name was Jim!" Julie shouted once again.
"In my defence it was you who started telling me I looked like a Jim when I didn't tell you my name" He said getting frustrated.
"Not the point! You used me then snuck out the next morning" She pouted.
"I'm pretty sure you used me just as much as I did you." He smirked at her causing a red blush to creep across her cheeks.
"Can we possibly continue this later? Maybe at home" I stated not liking the attention all the shouting was bringing.
"Julie. Claude let's go back to mine" Sebastian said noticing my discomfort
"Fine" They both mumbled.
Julie walked off with Sebastian and I followed behind talking to Claude.
"Thanks" I told him"For what?"
"Keeping an eye on Sebastian" I said hugging his arm.
"I don't know what your talking about" He said remaining blank as ever.
"I'm not stupid. If your weren't keeping an eye on him you wouldn't have been here still in England. I know how much you hate this country yet here you still are"
"I made you a promise didn't I little one. I keep my promises" He smiled down at me.
"Love you Claude" I said hugging tighter into his arm.
"Love you to little one" He says wrapping his arm round me and hugging my tighter.
I saw Julie and Sebastian glance back. Julie kind of glared while Sebastian smiled. I could feel the content radiating from his and he surely could feel the happiness from me. The two most important people in my life were finally back in it, I'd never felt better.
Arriving back at Sebastian's, Julie and I made coffee while the guys had a bit of a stare down. I noticed that they had grown more comfortable in each other's presence than 100 years ago when they wanted to kill each other. But I knew there was still tension there, I mean I loved Sebastian with all my heart but Claude was my 'adoptive' brother so he's a big part of my life. They both would kill anyone who hurt me, even if that included they other : hence the tension.
"So how do you know the sleeze ball in the living room?" Julie asked me breaking me from my trance.
"He's my brother." I simply state shrugging my shoulders.
"Oops sorry. The thing I said about him being a sleeze bag....forget it. I'm sure he's not..its just..." She said clearly panicking.
"Julie it's fine really. He's a bit of a sleeze bag, but you can't choose family" I say picking up two cups and walking through.
"Your right with that one. If I could I have ditched Bassy months ago" She laughed.
Handing Claude his coffee, I passed Sebastian his cup and went to sit next to him. He had other plans, pulling me into his lap I buried deep into his warm embrace, breathing in the smell I had taken so much comfort in these past months. No one said anything for a few moments but rather took deep breaths and drank their respective drinks. I didn't mind, it gave me a chance to savour the bliss that being with my weird family brought.
Suddenly though I remembered why Claude was here in the first place.
"Claude. What did you have to tell me earlier? You said you came to warn me but you never really told me what you were warning me about" I asked"There's been talk. Talk in the underworld of a new contract being made" He spoke.
"Why would that be a big deal?" Sebastian asked
"Demons make contracts for human souls all the time""Because the price is not a human soul. The demon in this contract wants something else" Claude states.
"The demon in this contract wants the human to find something. Something only a human can find""Your not suggesting what I think your are?" Sebastian asked horror etched across his face.
"What? Suggesting what?" Julie asked voicing the questions flying through my mind right now.
"But it's a legend. It doesn't exist. It can't exist" Sebastian argues.
"It does exist and Eric is well on his way to finding it" Claude stated placing his cup down on the table with slight force.
Sebastian grip around my waist tightened as if he was trying to protect me from the very conversation. I could sense the worry radiating from him smell radiates off a flower.
"What are you two talking about!?!" I demand, hating the cryptic way they were talking."Eric is hunting for a weapon of all weapons. In our world it the talk of nightmares, in the human world it is the talk of legends. But either way it brings death in its wake. It is a sword, a sword so powerful only a truly evil or truly pure spirit can wield it. But if Eric's looking for it, then rest assured, we're all going to dye if he finds it. And my guess kitten, is that you'll be first" Sebastian finally admitted, causing colour to drain from my face and my blood run cold.
