As Eric slept soundly in your lap, Sebastian's anger raced.
This was the guy who had put you through so much pain. So much anguish. So much heartache.
And what were you doing? You had him cuddled in your lap, crying occasional tears for him.No! He wouldn't, couldn't stand for that. As much as he was grateful that he made you a demon, he was furious at all he had put you through. If anything he deserved getting caught by the reapers, deserved the years of uninterrupted torture they had given him. He didn't deserve to be cuddled in your lap. Didn't deserve to feel the warmth touch of your skin and he certainly didn't deserve the compassion you were showing him.
"Sebastian" Her voice sounded. A harsh tone lacing around her word.
"Why don't you find Julie and Claude? I'm sure they'll want to know what is going on""Fine" He resisted the urge to spit back.
Swiftly he turned on his heels and raced to find the duo they had left behind. He found them, still in library. Julie had somehow gotten a glass of water though, one she was gripping so hard her knuckles had gone white. Her face was pale and her eyes were a mixture of pure rage and sorrow. A deadly combination.
"What did you do to her?" Sebastian questioned the other demon in the room. He ran over to Julie and removed the glass of water from her hands. The last thing he wanted was for her to break it.
"He didn't do anything" Julie spoke up.
"After the three of you left, Claude and I decided to read some more of the books. Try and find out anything else we could. Only I wish I hadn't now.....they were....it told me about.....it was horrible" It was at this point she flung her arms around Sebastian and let her tears flow out."She read about how many of us they had tortured. Read about the things they didn't to get information out of them. To say it has unsettled her would be an understatement" Claude finished of for her, and Sebastian couldn't help but notice how his eyes softened every so slightly as he looked at Julie's weeping form.
"Julie if your up for it. (Y/n) would like us all in the dungeon, there's something you all need to see" Sebastian spoke. Wishing he didn't have to show Julie this. Wishing he had never involved his best friend in all this. But she was already involved, so she had to know.
Julie's crying stopped, he body still hiccuping though as the residual sobs still raked through her.
"I'll be fine. I just need to get over it. That's all"Both Sebastian and Claude could see she wasn't ready for this. That as a human she shouldn't have to be ready for this, but neither interjected. Both deciding that this was her decision and they couldn't stop her. They knew she wouldn't want to help, would want to be kept in the loop and they had no right to keep her out of it. Maybe if they had originally stopped her, but at this point it was impossible.
"Lead the way Sebastian" She smiled up at him. Her face was still pale and her eyes still red.
"Hold on to me" He told her.
"We can't let the reapers see her here. Demons are one thing but humans fall into a category all their own"She just nodded before leaping into his back. Her arms wrapped round his neck and the both of them were momentarily transported back to her childhood.
They both imagines the days, back when Julie was barley 5 years old. Sebastian would piggyback her round her house. He would run, jump and leap at unimaginable speeds, little Julie clinging on tight the whole time laughing her head off. The two used to spend many afternoons together like this. Then when she finally tired out, Sebastian used to always carry her on his shoulders. Her little body slumped over his head and she snuggled deeper into his soft hair.
