Chapter 12

I walked into my hotel room with a smile on my face. I had just spent a whole hour with Ben at Starbucks and we just talked as if we'd been best friends forever. As I started for the bathroom my mom spotted me and she came over clearly upset.

"Where have you been Allison!" She asked angrily

"I left you a note. Me and Benjamin went out for coffee."

"I see that. At 1 am? Are you trying to get him in trouble? I will not stand for this behavior, Alison!"

"Oh my god, mom. That was one time. I've changed alright. Why can't you get over it? Why do you always expect I'm doing something bad?" My cheeks were burning.

"Alison, please stop yelling. Your brother has a long day ahead of him." Mom said trying to sound calm.

I couldn't stand here and just let her antagonize me. My hands were shaking with exhaustion and anger.

"No. I'm not gonna just let you keep on making me the bad guy. I really like Ben. I'm not about to-"

"Oh no, please don't tell me you have feelings for him."

"That's not what I said. God you're overreacting just like you always do. And even if I did so what? Is that so bad that I have feelings for him?"

"He's such a talented boy and he doesn't need any distractions."

I couldn't take it anymore. I grabbed a hotel key from off the dresser to my right and stormed out of the room leaving my mom behind. I didn't even know where I was going. I just roamed the halls. I decided to go to someone I knew I could talk to. Someone who I could trust.

Sorry this chapter is so short guys. But the next one should be pretty fun :)
