The variety show set went quiet. The Russian sushi restaurant fell silent as well.

Shizuo stared at the screen mortified by the girl's answer. His widened honey orbs gazed into high definition (y/ec) eyes. Both shared the same scared and confused look.

He was just now finding out that the girl he had loved had loved him back. He had truly hurt someone he loved. He could have actually had a normal life... It was a little to late for that now.

Tom broke Shizuo out of his T.V. freeze.

"SHIZUO HOW DID YOU KNOW (Y/FN)?? WHEN DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL WITH HER? WHAT IS SHE LIKE? WHY DID YOU NEVER TELL ME? WHY DIDN'T YOU LOVE MY SWEET (Y/FN)-CHAN BACK??"

Shizuo was bombarded with questions by his boss. In an annoyed attempt to avoid the interrogation Shizuo shoved the man out of his face and headed out of the restaurant.

Tom threw the payment for the food at Simon and rushed after Shizuo.

"Shizuo! ...Shizuo! Why didn't you tell me," his boss panted.

"Look can we just get to work and do the job we have for today," Shizuo attempted to blow the whole thing off. As he stormed away from Tom he came in front of a technology store. T.V.s lined the entire window display of the shop. All the T.V.s were now playing the Ikebukuro version of TMZ.

"Breaking news from Rise and Shine Ikebukuro! If you've missed it we've got the scoop! Ikebukuro favorite (y/fn) (y/ln) revealed on live television her secret highschool crush! We've got all the details on this man and where he is today and you won't believe who he is!"

Shizuo stared at all of the screens. They turned away from an excited and ditzy announcer to footage of Ikebukuro streets. Soon vending machines were flying on every screen. Stop signs went swinging on every T.V. Brand and type. Images of Shizuo and Izaya fighting in the streets took the screens by storm.

"Ikebukuro's strongest man is also (y/fn)'s highschool crush! She confessed truthfully just today! Shizuo Heiwajima has got it all! The strength! The power! And now Ikebukuro's most loved woman!"

The announcers began to judge Shizuo and talk of (y/fn). They were already hard at work prying into the past. Shizuo couldn't let them know. No one could bring up the past, especially not on T.V. If the past was pulled up everyone would think he was a monster if they didn't already. Shizuo had a hard enough time as it was. He was always in the paper for gang fights and disturbing the peace. In reality all he wanted was peace... It was in his name! Yet everything seemed to be unfolding before him.

After (y/fn's) confession the tabloids began to run. Ikebukuro buzzed with speculation over "Ikebukuro's sexiest woman's" and "Ikebukuro's strongest man's" relationship.
