Learn To Love Again (Liam Payne)

Chapter 10

*Liam's POV*

I sat there and stared at my untouched burger. I was pouting and we all knew it, but i didn't care. Michael pat me on the back.

He, Dani, and I were all sat at a table in McDonald's. Dani sat across from me.

"C'mon man, you've got to--"

"He just swooped in and took her! How the heck am I supposed to be okay with that? And another thing, he's not just some random guy I've never met, he's my BEST MATE. I've talked to him about Storm on tour time after time and he just lays his eyes on her and forgets all about it? No, I'm going to kill him, he's so dead." I finished my rant by violently slamming my fist on the table, catching the attention of a few people in the restaurant. I could feel the angry tears coming on and was doing everything in my power to keep them back.

"Liam! Stop it, stop it right now." Dani said to me sternly. She clenched her fists and shook them at me angrily. "She's not your girlfriend! So stop acting like you bloody OWN her! She's moving on, why can't you be okay with that? She's your BEST FRIEND!"

"Because she SHOULD be mine, not Louis'! He just got out of a relationship he's been in for over a year! He has no right to just take her from me." I shot back, standing up. Dani stood up too and came over so that we were chest to chest. I still towered over her small frame.

"Then fight for her, because you obviously can't move on without her." Dani harshly whispered to me. I looked over at Michael who had been silently watching this whole thing unfold.

"Don't look for help from me, Mate. If you really like her as much as you say you do then you wouldn't hesitate to try and win her over. I'm going to have to take my girlfriend's side on this one." He said, crossing his arms as if to say 'and I'm not changing my mind'.

"Exactly, I-- Wait," Dani paused, then looked over at Michael with a big smile plastered on her face. "Girlfriend?" She asked him. Michael smiled shyly at the ground, then back at her.

"Yeah," He said, then quickly added, "If thats okay with you!"

Dani nodded.

"Totally okay!" She said.

I just rolled my eyes at them.

Stupid couples everywhere, rubbing it in my face.

"Hi. I don't mean to intrude,but aren't you Liam Payne, of One Direction?" I heard from behind me. I rolled my eyes and turned around, prepared to say a sarcastic comment. I stopped when I saw the pretty girl who had been standing behind me.

She had long dark hair and big brown eyes. She was no Stormy, but she was still enough to cause me to be at a loss of words. I was completely caught off guard.

"Umm, yeah. That's me, Liam Payne, the one and only." I said, and then mentally face palmed myself.

SMOOTH PAYNE, SMOOTH.

She giggled and then bit her lip.

"Could I um, could I get a picture with you?" she asked nervously. I smiled at her shyness. Michael and Dani had gotten over their annoying little love fest and had come up for air and to join the conversation.

You know what? if Stormy could move on, I could too. I was going to show them, prove them wrong.

I could move on without Stormy...Couldn't I?

"Sure thing, Love!" I said, then pulled out my phone. The other three around me gave me a confused look. I turned to Michael. "Would you mind taking a picture of me and this gorgeous girl?" I asked him. I turned to the girl who blushed and looked down, while Mike started stuttering.

"I uhh, sure. Why not?" He said, sounding questionable the whole time. I stood next to the girl and then put my arm around her waist, getting her closer to me than necessary for just a picture. Before we took one I looked down at the girl who stood maybe two inches shorter than me.

"What's your name, Love?" I asked her. She smiled at me.

"Chloe, Chloe Edwards." She blushed and looked down again. I just smiled and looked back at Michael to take a picture. Dani stood next to him with a frown on her face and her arms crossed. I winked at her.

I'll show you Dani.

She scoffed and rolled her eyes, while Michael frowned at me. I just brushed it off. Here I was, moving on, and they were trying to make me feel bad about it!

Chloe had started to pull away from me before I tightened my grip, keeping her next to me.

"Wait, let's take one more! Please?" I asked her. She smiled and nodded her head excitedly. I chuckled at her nervousness.

"Wanna make it a silly one?" Again, she nodded. I turned to Michael, " Count to three?" I asked him.

"Uhh, sure?" Michael said/asked.

Chloe stuck out her tongue and put up a peace sign, while I just put on my silliest duck face.

Michael cracked a small smile, and Dani stood the exact same. She just looked extremely pissed at me. Oh whale! She'll get over it.

"Okay, here goes! One, two, three!" as soon as Michael said three, I turned my head to kiss Chloe's cheek. She squealed in surprise while i just laughed.

I let go of the startled girl and took my phone from Mike, walking back to Chloe to start looking at the pictures. There was the one of us smiling, arms around each other. It was cute, but the silly one was my favorite. I was kissing her cheek while she had her peace sign up and her tongue out, but she also had her eyes open in surprise. I chuckled and put my arm around Chloe, who was blushing.

"I look awful." She said, and shook her head. I squeezed her shoulder.

"You do not! This is my favorite." I told her as she watched me make the picture my lock screen. "You know, this means that I need your number to send you these pictures." I told her. She gained a bit of confidence and smiled at me again.

"Well then why don't you give me your phone so I can give it to you?" I chuckled as I handed her my phone and she entered her number. I took my phone and let out another laugh.

"Sexy Edwards?" I asked her. She blushed and gave me a small shove. I noticed that when she smiled she reminded me of Stormy, her eyes sparkling and her pearly white teeth brightening up the entire room. I quickly shook that out of my head.

Dang it Liam, get that girl out if your head!

"Liam," Dani huffed in annoyance. "You got your picture and a number, can we go now?" I gave her a glare which she returned by sticking out her tongue at me like a five year old. Mike just chuckled as if it was the cutest thing and entertained his fingers with hers, while I rolled my eyes at her.

"Coming." I stated rudely. I turned my back to them and then smiled at Chloe.

"Goodbye Liam, thanks for the picture." She said. I took her hand and kissed her knuckles, she bushed again. Stormy was so cute when she blushed, her cheeks were always the perfect shade of pink.

Sheesh, cut it out Liam! You don't need Stormy!

"See you soon." I told her, then turned on my heel to join Michael and Dani as they walked out the door. I smiled the whole time, despite Dani's glare and Michael's unsure look.

I would show them.

I would show them all.

I was Liam James Payne.

I didn't need Stormy to move on.

I could move on with some one else, anyone else.

With Chloe.

...........Right?
