Flashback (Postcollege - Dennise First Year Med School)

"Hoy Dennise! Sumasakit na ang ulo ko sa'yo, stop pacing!" Sigaw ni Ella sa kaibigan niya.

"Besh naman. It's our first anniversary and she wants me to meet her Parents" sabi ni Dennise, still pacing.

"Parang di mo pa kilala sina Tito at Tita ah"

"Besh, di naman tayo always nakikipagbonding sa family niya and maybe, just maybe, she'll introduce me as her girlfriend!"

"Ayaw mo pa nun?" sabi ni Ella at naglakad papunta sa ref ng kwarto ni Dennise. Yes, doon sila tumambay, nagaral kasi sila for their evals next week. Yes, Ella went to Med School. Alyssa convinced her to and eventually, she started to see herself as a doctor already.

"Besh naman. What if they don't like me... what if---"

"What if tumahimik ka jan?" sabat ni Ella "Alam mo Besh para kang Chocolate cake" dagdag ni Ella while taking a bite of her chocolate cake. Napataas na lang ng kilay si Den. "Who in this world hates chocolate cake!?" sabi ni Ella.

Dennise smiled "thanks Besh"

"Oh don't get the wrong impression here. I'd still choose chocolate cake over you any time" sabi ni Ella while licking her chocolate filled fork.

Den's eyebrows furrowed and threw a pillow at Ella's face. Tumawa naman ang huli dahil napikon si Den.

"So, what are you planning to give her parents...and her?" tanong ni Ella.

"What?" parang natauhan si Den.

"I said what are you planning for later?"

"Sht. Kailangan pa ba yun Besh?"

Ella gave Dennise the are-you-kidding-me look.

"Besh. I'm serious."

"and I'm seriously wondering kung serious ka talaga Besh" sabi ni Ella na nakahiga sa sofa.

"I am" sabi ni Den nakayuko.

"Pssh. What will you do without me? tapos first anniversary niyo pa. Tsss" sabay tayo ni Ella "Get you cute butt down the living room. I'll wait for you there"

"Where are we going?" takang tanong ni Den.

"Buy some ingredients. Bake a cake for her family. Marunong ka naman dba?"

"Ahhh.. Yes, yes! Thank you, Besh!" sabi ni Den while hugging Ella.

"Basta may cake rin dapat ako ha?"

"Sabi na nga ba may kapalit eh" bulong ni Den.

"May sinasabi ka Besh?" and Ella threw a death glare at Den

"Ahhh. Wala. Sabi ko, okaaay"

"Ahhh. Buti naman at malinaw yung pinaguusapan natin" sabi ni Ella while smirking then she exited the door.

"Gretch! Tumayo ka nga jan! Tulungan mo naman ako dito" sabi ni Alyssa sa isang Gretchen Ho nakaupo sa may sala at nanonood ng TV. Busy kasi si Alyssa sa paglilinis ng dining area for later.

Gretchen smirked "Ninang! Si Alyssa oh inuutusan yung guest." tawag ni Alyssa sa Mama ni Alyssa.

Sumilip naman ang Mama ni Alyssa sa dining area from the dirty kitchen "Ly, kaya mo na yan. And besides... it's for Den. Don't you think it's more special kung ikaw yung nageextra effort?"

Ly sighed. She was defeated.

"And Gretch, get your feet off my center table." pahabol ng Mama ni Alyssa na sumusilip kay Gretchen. Agad namang tinanggal ni Gretch ang paa niya and mouthed 'sorry'.
