Chapter 14

"Okay. Okay spill it. What happened Doc?" Bea asked in excitement. They were in a coffeeshop chillin' coz their shift just finished.

"Okay, okay. Come down tiger" Den said giggling. Excitement evident in Bea's eyes.

Dennise shared what happened that day. The day Alyssa caught Den half naked inside the comfort room, the day Dennise used Alyssa's shirtsey, the day Alyssa drove for her. All of those things that made Dennise genuinely happy again.

"So, what did Doc Ella told you ba?" Bea asked.

Dennise laughed and it confused Bea more "Ano na kasi, Doc?" she said in irritation.

"Alam mo ba, di pala talaga anak ni Ly and Kief si Keith. I was wrong all along. Maling hinala hahaha" Den's laugh echoed in the place.

"yeaaa" Bea said as she looked around. Her Ate's making a scene. "and about that Alyssa leaving and didn't actually waited for you to explain? What's up with that?"

"Oh that." Dennise said in sadness. Total change of mood. "That's actually my fault nga di ba? I need to finish Med school and she needs to chase her dream but I'm in the way. After Marlo, you know, I'm not really myself and she thinks she should be beside me."

"Did she attend Marlo's funeral?"

"Ella said she did despite that incident with me and LA. She went. She loved my brother so much."

"I bet she does, Ate" Bea smiled. "You should win her back though." the younger one said.

"YOU should win HER back TOO, Bei." Dennise said smirking.

Bea looked at her coffee "I should right? Pero iniiwasan niya ako Ate."

"O tapos?" Dennise said monotonously.

"Hello! Earth to Doc Den!" Bea said waving her hand in front of Dennise "Didn't you hear what I just said?" Dennise still managed to put a straight face "INIIWASAN NIYA AKO" Bea said with intensity.

"And so?" Dennise said raising her perfectly shaped eyebrows "If you really love her that won't hinder you from anything di ba? Ang hirap kasi sa'yo di pa naguumpisa yung Soccer game inabandon mo na yung goal."

Bea looked at Dennise and listening closely to the comparison she makes. "Alam mo Bei, when mistakes are made more than once it isn't an accident, it's a habit. Don't let your doubts become a habit."

Bea looked outside the shop "But what should I do, Ate?" she looked back at Dennise.

"You tell me. She's not my ex."

"Flowers for Ms. Madayag!" a clerk said as he entered the laboratory.

Gulat na gulat naman si Maddie "A-ako?" Maddie said while pointing at herself.

The clerk just smiled and gave the boquet to her. Maddie looked at the boquet of flowers and her eyes widened.

"Teka. teka. Sino ba nagbigay sa'yo niyan, Mads?" her workmate Janice interjected. "Oh my..." she said covering her mouth "Orchids? hahahaha bakit orchids? Ilang taon ka ba Maddie? bakit orchids binigay ng manliligaw mo? Pinapatanda ka ata ah haha"

(At the Pathologists room - two way mirror)

Bea was walking back and forth. She was panicking kasi tumatawa yung workmate ni Maddie

"Oh my god! Mali ba? Mali ba yung orchid? shit!" she said burrying her fingers on her scalp "Doc! Ano na? talk to me please!"

"Aba kung makasalita ka bata. Parang di mo lang ako senior ah" Ella said while eating her favorite Mang Juan.
