It was a beautiful afternoon and Dennise can't help but admire the scenery outside the restaurant. She can see couples walking around the streets, vendors with smiles plastered on their faces even if they're under the unsustainable heat of the sun, children playing around the streets. She's thinking about how their life seem happy when they have less while she is more financially stable than they are yet she feels less.

"When will I be genuinely happy like that?" Dennise said in a monologue.

"You're saying something Ate?" Bea butted in as she gave the menu back to the waitress who was more than willing to take their order.

"Can I take your order Ma'am?" the waitress said smiling at them.

"I'll have a Tuna Pesto please with additional basil on top." Bea said and smiled.

"How about you Ma'am?" she faced Dennise.

Bea noticed that Den isn't moving. She was so drawn into her thoughts. "Ate Den, yung order mo raw."

"Oh! I'm sorry." Dennise paused seating up straight. "I'll have clam chowder please."

"Really Ate? Clam chowder  for an afternoon meal?" Bea said.

"Alangan naman midnight ko kainin, Bei" Dennise rolled her eyes and Bea did the same too.

"Is that all Ma'am?" the waitress asked.

"and your meal of the day please for one." Dennise said. She knows that her energetic best friend Ella would like to have the best meal for the day.

The waitress continued writing the orders, "Thank you Ma'am. Food will be served in 20 minutes."

Bea and Dennise fell silent while waiting for their food and their companion. Dennise noticed a group of young boys in their football uniform passing by the window of the restaurant where Dennise was sitting, she unconsciously smiled and that didn't escaped Bea's eyes.

"So, Ate Den, mahilig ba talagang maglaro ng soccer si Marlo?" Bea asked.

Dennise fidgeted upon hearing the name. "Uhhhm. yea. Paano mo naman nalaman yun?" Dennise said as she looked around.

"I don't know Ate. Familiar lang. Nakwento mo ata before yung about dun. I'm not sure tho. Pwede mo ba makwento ulit?"

Dennise smiled. She's really amazed about Bea's interest in Marlo, in kids for that matter. "Are you sure gusto mo maging Pathologist Bei? Why not try Pedia? Parang may hidden interest ka naman with kids."

Bea blushed. "Actually, I was thinking about it Ate." She paused, "Maddie and I, well, we talked. Mejo nakakapanibago nga." Bea said while putting her hand on her nape. "Kasi she's very supportive of me ngayon. We talk about our interests, our dreams, plans and aspirations. Sabi niya nga she will support me every step of the way." Bea sighed at the thought. Her eyes are not focused on Den. "I am just so lucky to have a second chance with her" Bea said with a genuine smile.

Den saw the people coming towards them she just smiled. Bea didn't even noticed it. She was so drowned in her thoughts until someone hugged her from the back, elbows rested on Bea's shoulders. "Hey there sexy" she said as she kissed Bea's cheek.

Bea held her hand and adjusted her seat to come face to face with the most angelic figure she has ever seen, "Hey" Bea said as she returned the kiss.

"Talking about me?" Maddie said as she sat beside Bea.

"Mads! Nagylat ako!" Bea said while holding her chest, "well, about that..." Bea started as she glanced at Dennise asking for help to save her.

As naughty as Dennise is she stayed quiet and waited for Bea's reaction but Maddie cut the tension as she greeted Dennise. "Good afternoon, Doc Lazaro", she said.
