I am hoping that this book will bring you happiness as much as I had when I wrote the update! Also I'd like to say a huge thank you to one of my new-found friends here on Wattpad who genuinely expresses her support ElydiaReyes. May this update bring a smile to your face, sis! Brandon brought his own car and told me to just leave mine in the office. I hesitantly got in the car with him. He was obviously in a good mood and was talking the whole time that he was driving. I mean I've never met a guy that could totally talk my ear off. It wasn't that he was annoying or anything but it was just different. Back when Tim was still alive, he'd just silently drive the car for hours and just hold my hand while he does.

Guessing that he felt he was the only one talking, he took the time to look at me when the car came to a stop on a red light. I could feel his gaze at me while leaning on the steering wheel.

"You alright?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just tired with all the work in the office, that's all."

"I mean if you don't wanna go out with me tonight, I can just drive you back to the house so that you can rest there."

"No Brandon, it's fine. Let's just go out tonight." He wasn't convinced by it and started to drive again when the light turned green. I had to change the atmosphere in the car. I didn't want him to think that I was sulking because I didn't want to go out with him. "So where are you taking me for dinner?"

His face suddenly lit up with the question. He looked like a child who was so excited to tell me a secret.

"Nothing fancy...but  I do hope that you're going to love it."

A few minutes later, we stopped in a parking lot. As soon as I got out, I could feel the chill in the air and sad to say that I wasn't able to bring my scarf with me. I was wearing a coat though but it wasn't warm enough. I was stupid to think that the weather wasn't changing though it was nearing the start of winter.

Noticing my discomfort, he took off his scarf and carefully wrapped it around my neck. He just smiled at me and took my hand. It was a simple gesture yet it was enough to spark something in me; something that I haven't felt in a long time when a guy holds my hand.

We got into a small restaurant that hard-wood floors. The bar was the first thing that you could see as soon as you get in. The place was nearly packed but luckily there were still some seats left for the both of us. I slid into a booth and placed my bag beside me and unwrapped the scarf from around my neck since it was already warm enough here.

"Well, I'll just go get the menu or do you just want me to order for you?"

I just shrugged but he was waiting for my reply. "Oh, just order for me. It's my first time to eat here." I smiled at him and he smiled back which tells me that he was feeling some kind of relief that I trusted him on this.

"I'll be right back."

He left me in the booth and I hastily got my phone and texted Stephanie. It seemed to me that she was the only one that  could count on right now. Having a future sister-in-law is indeed rewarding.
