Brandon's POV

I was happy to hear that Tiffany gave birth safely. I know that Calleigh valued her clearly because she makes Anthony happy. From the moment that Tiffany stepped into their lives, it seemed to Calleigh that she somehow helped bring color into her brother's grey world.

I dropped by the gift shop to get what Calleigh told me to bring. Picking out the gift to congratulate the new parents was easy but then something caught my attention outside of the shop. There was a jewelry store across the street and I just had to check it out. Since we're a couple already, I thought that it would be nice to buy her a ring. A promise ring. I picked out something simple and had the "always" inside the ring. Always. I will always love Calleigh with every core of my being.

Getting into the car with the trinkets, I sped towards the hospital only to find out that Calleigh's parents have left. Tiffany's mother was there to assist her and Anthony waited patiently by her side.

"Hey guys," I said as I got in the room. "Calleigh told me the good news. Congratulations to the both of you."

Anthony stepped forward to receive the gift. It was also the perfect time to shake his hand. The grip wasn't as strong as the first time we met.

"Thanks, man."

Anthony retreated to his fiancee's side and placed the gift on the bedside table. A couple of minutes later, Calleigh and I left the hospital room to give Tiffany time to rest.

"Would you like to see the babies?" she asked as we walked towards the elevators.

"Sure...wait, babies?"

"Yeah. Tiffany forgot to tell me that she's carrying twins."

The elevators stopped on the second floor and we walked towards the nursery to view the newest addition to the Robins. Looking at the Calleigh's face as she waited for the babies to come into view, I realized that she wanted to have a child soon. A minute later, the midwife pushed in two cribs into our view. One of them was wrapped in a blue cloth while the other one was wrapped in a pink cloth.

"Aren't they adorable?" her voice was filled with amusement as she looked at the babies, she leaned close to me and I brought my arm around her."

"Do you want kids in the future?" I asked her. I felt her nod and she then looked at me. "I want to have three."

"Just three?" the look of shock registered in her face.

"How many do you want?"

"I want a baseball team!" she looked horrified and I felt her lightly punch my arm. "I'm just kidding, babe. If three's what you like, then we'll have three. But let's keep the option open to four."

"We'll cross the bridge when we get there."

The both of us walked hand in hand towards the exit of the hospital and headed towards the parking lot. I held onto the box in my pocket and felt the feel of the velvet box against my skin. I wanted to just kneel in front of her but the I remembered that what I had was just a promise ring and not an engagement ring.

I was really quiet as I held her hand when we got outside of the hospital. She noticed it and tried to nudge me on my side. Looking at her, she had a questioning gaze sent my way.

"What are you thinking about?"

"I was just thinking," I stopped us in our tracks and held both of her hands in mine. "Since we were already talking about babies, I think it's time to get high serious with this thing between us."

"I don't follow what you're trying to-"

I pulled out the small black velvety box from my pocket and held it out in front of her. She was in awe and she covered her gaping mouth with one of her hands and shifted her gaze between me and the box several times.

"Before you panic, it's not an engagement ring yet but it's close to it." I got the ring out and got her right ring finger and slipped it in. "This is a promise ring. I promise to be with you all the way, Cal. I'm here and I will be here to love you always."

Tears streamed down her face as she finally understood what I said. She pulled me in for an embrace. She was happy, I guess. Her sobs filled the silence between us and I just held her as close as I could. I eased a bit from her and held her by her shoulders. Her face was all red now from the crying that she did.

"Hey, are you upset that it's not the rock you were expecting." Hey, a guy can worry too.

"No..." she sniffed several times and a smile appeared on her lips. "I am just so happy that you are in my life, Brand. It's just a lot of miracles in one time."

I cupped her face in my hands and brought her in for a kiss. She responded with equal fervor and then we broke apart before someone complained about indecency. The car was just a couple of steps away from us. We hastily walked towards it, excited to celebrate the night when I felt someone hit me in my nape so hard that it really made me weak in the knees.

"Brandon!" I heard Calleigh's shout. "Let go of me! Brandon! Let go of me!"

"Calleigh? Calleigh? Cal-"

Then everything went  black.
