23 (Part 1)

I felt a slight tap on my cheeks kaya agad akong napamulat. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ako nakahiga sa sofa. But then, my thoughts were answered when I heard Laxus' voice.

"You fell asleep on my shoulders, so I ended up carrying you here,"

Napaupo ako sa sofa na hinihigaan ko habang pinagmamasdan siya. Anong problema ng lalaking 'to at nakataas ang kilay?

"You're so heavy." I heard him said. Kaya ba ang lakas niya makapagtaas ng kilay?

Wait. Ako mabigat? "What?"

"You're so heavy." Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin.

"I'm not." Hindi naman ako mabigat. Isa pa, sino ba kasi may sabi sa kanyang buhatin ako?

Nakipagtitigan lang ito sa'kin at napataas ang kilay ko ng bigla nalang itong tumawa.

"I know! I was just teasing you." He said.

"Baliw." I muttered.

Laxus Matthew Maguire.

You're still the same guy I know.

"But seriously, what you said earlier bothered me."

Naging seryoso siya bigla kaya napatingin ako sa kanya at naghintay sa susunod na sasabihin niya. "I know that you're already smart and strong.." Nagbuntong hininga ito. "Just always be careful." I noticed the sincerity in his voice and it made me smile. But, sinarili ko nalang ang ngiting iyon.

"I will." I replied.

Bakas parin ang pag-alala sa mukha niya pero ng sandaling magtama ang aming mga mata..

His mood instantly changed.

"Alcher. Let's go somewhere else!" He said as he quickly got up and stood in front of me.

"Why?" I asked him. "Anong oras na ba?" I said and unconsciously yawned.

"It's still early." He said. I raised my eyebrow.

"Anong meron?" I said.

"No questions allowed plus I won't repeat what I've said." He paused. "Let's just go somewhere else." Tiningnan ko 'to.

Baliw ba 'tong lalaking 'to? Hindi raw niya uulitin pero sinabi niya ulit?

"As if I'll come with you." I said giving him a bored look.

He rolled his eyes. "Whether you're coming or you'll come with me, just stand up because we're heading somewhere."
