Byakuya x Reader - I did it for you

You couldn't believe it. . . You must have misheard Monokuma. . . you must have. . .

"Correct! The blackened who killed (insert least favourite charcter here) is Byakuya Togami!

Everyone turned their heads to The Ultimate Heir in horror, yours in disbelief. You had spent most of your time since arriving at Hope's Peak Academy with Byakuya. You thought he knew better.

"No. . .no! . .Why Byakuya?! Why did you do it?!" You cried you face filled with despair more than anger.

"Did you forget the motive?" For the first time in his life, Byakuya's voice was quiet without confidence.

Everyone was gathered in the public bathhouse, discussing the new discovery of Alter Ego when suddenly you felt dizzy and despite your best efforts collapsed. 

You couldn't remember all the events that took place afterwards but you remembered being carried to the infirmary, bridal style by Byakuya and Monokuma appearing shortly after announcing the next motive.

"I have infected (Y/N) with a special virus that only I have the cure to. If she does not receive this cure then she will die within a week! If you want the cure. . !

"Don't tell me. . ." Naegi's voice was filled with an unusual rising anger.

"That's right! Kill someone! And get this! If you succeed in being the undiscovered blackened I'll let both you and (Y/N) go free!"

"Why (Y/N)?" Kirigiri sounded curious and surprisingly calm. (Me: Could you worry a bit more?! 

"Do you have to ask? She tried to hurt me! She tried to break the rules! In my opinion she's getting off lightly." 

It sounded like a game to Monokuma, just another motive. But among all the sad, frightened and angry faces of the 78th class, one person was clearly the most worried and infuriated:

Byakuya Togami.

Slowly each classmate left the infirmary, unsure of what to do or their purpose of being in there until only you and Byakuya were left.

All you could remember before drifting off into unconsciousness was Byakuya's determined and somewhat desperate voice say.

"Hold on (Y/N), I promise I will save you somehow no matter what so. . . please don't. . . don't die!"   

A few days later, a murder occurred and you woke up feeling as if you had never been ill. "How can Monokuma even do this?" Had been your passing thought as the investigation began.

And now here you were. Awful realization dawning on your ever shocked face.

"I did it for you" Byakuya's words piercing into your heart.

"I wanted us both to escape, to survive. (Y/N), when we first met, I didn't realize that I would come to care for you, but your not like everyone else. To me your more then some silly commoner - your more than just a friend, I-

"I love you (Y/N)." 

"Byakuya. . ." Your voice cracked.

"I'm sorry. I don't want to leave you but at least I do so knowing I could save you, that I could keep my promise. 

All you could do was nod silently and agree. You both knew that there was nothing you could do to stop the inevitable.

Seeing your sadness Byakuya sighed "Oh dear this really isn't worthy of The Ultimate Affluent Progeny, is it?"  

"How sweet. . ." Monokuma's voice dripping with sarcasm. He was clearly bored of the mushy feelings. 

"Now then, I've prepared a very special punishment for Byakuya Togami, The Ultimate Affluent Progeny!

 Lets give it everything we've got! It's. . . PUNISHMENT TIIME! 

The video game screen appeared dragging Byakuya's sprite to his punishment:

Suddenly Byakuya was ripped from the court room and dropped into a rubbish bin in a place that looks like Hell. Monokuma kids started throwing rocks at him for being a supposed dirty hobo. Byakuya tried to escape the bin, and when he finally manged to escape he came out into a cold and snowy place. Tears started rolling down his pale cheeks.

Tears welled up in your (e/c) orbs (And Fukawa's) as your heart shattered into pieces. Byakuya the only person you had ever truly cared for and loved was about to be taken from you. And at the same time, he was losing the pride he had held onto all his life. He was losing everything.

All for you. He murdered for you.

As Byakuya slowly died of his wounds and the cold you called out to him.

"BYAKUYA! I-I-"

"I love you to!"

And as he took his last breaths, you saw a smile, a genuine smile lite up his face. And then he stopped moving.

Byakuya Togami was dead. 

And his last words were:

"I did it for you (Y/N). . .and I have no regrets. . . . ."

I'M SO SORRY! 

It's New Years Day and I've started it by killing Togami?!

Perhaps I've had a lapse in sanity.
