Surprise [4]

Seth

I am currently waiting for Paige to finish getting ready. I know that she takes a long time to get ready, but it was going to take a little more effort today. I figured that it would take her a little while longer than usual. I put on a suit and got ready early. My plan wouldn't go into action for a while. I decided to text Nikki to see how things were going.

Seth: Hey, everything ready?

Nikki: Almost. Just finishing up the final touches. Why is she ready?

Seth: No. But I just wanted to check in.

Nikki: Oh, okay. She doing better?

Seth: Yea, but she's still shaken up by it. She didn't wake up until 2pm. No matter how hard I tried to wake her up.

Nikki: Haha, of course. I'm happy to hear that she's a little bit better.

Seth: I'll see you later.

Nikki: Alright. Bye.

I didn't want to rush Paige. It probably would've made the situation worse and I wanted her to be in a good mood. I needed this to be perfect. I started to watch some YouTube videos on the TV, since she probably be out for a while. After I got bored of that, I looked through some pictures on my phone of Paige and I. Some of them were so crazy, because whenever she wanted a picture of us smiling, it never happened. I make stupid faces, not smile.

I hear the door click open and see her. She comes into the hotel room with all of the things I had gotten her on. She looks so beautiful. I start to smile, knowing that I made the right choice of choosing her over any other woman out there. "Hey beautiful," I say, which makes her blush. "How do I look?" She asks, spinning around so I can see everything she's wearing. "Amazing." That's all I can say.

I kiss her and she kisses back. Yup definitely made the right choice. She smiles at me and looks at me with those dark, brown eyes, "I love you." "I love you, too. You ready for your surprise?" She nods. I tell her to close her eyes and we get in the car. I text Nikki.

Seth: Hey, we're coming now.

Nikki: Alright, everything is ready. See you soon.

I drive and let Paige plug in her phone so she can listen to her music. I also really love her style of music. Rock was mostly her genre of music she listened to. The classic rock bands all the way to the current ones. "Are we there yet?" She kept asking. I keep telling her that we are almost there. I had put a blind fold on her, just so she can't peek. I can tell she was rolling her eyes.

"We are here," I say after a while. "Finally!" I laugh, making her laugh a little. I go over to the passenger side of the car and open the door for her. She grabs my hand and steps out of the car. I guide her through the building. "Okay, I'm scared," she says, nervously laughing. "Don't worry, it's nothing bad..." "It better not!" I laugh. When we finally reach the room, it's pitch black dark.

I turn the lights on. "Surprise!" The room is filled with people. Paige takes the blindfold off. "Oh my god! It's not my birthday... Seth what's going on?" she asks while looking around the room. "Well it's an engagement party," I say. She turns around and looks at me, shocked. 

Paige

Woah! Did I hear that correctly? I mean, sure our relationship has been up and down. For example, a positive thing was that when Barret dumped me, yea stupid me for dating him, I flew back to England. I was really beaten up, thanks to Barret. Um, I did somethings to myself... I ended up in the hospital because of it. Seth flew all the way to England after he heard about what had happened. Also because Barret was hunting me down.

One negative thing was that we got into some huge fight. Of course it was about something stupid. It went a little too far. He was drunk and beat the shit out of me. I knew he still loved me and that it wasn't the real him. We always get into fights. Not as bad as my past real relationship I had... But he's been there for me through everything.

He gets down on one knee and takes out a small box. I never cry, but this is one of the only times I do. "Paige, I know we have been through so much and that you could've left me so many times. But for some reason, you never left me. After all of those moments, I knew you were the one. So Saraya-Jade Bevis, will you marry me?" I can tell he's no nervous. All I could do is this, "Yes! Yes! Yes!" I know, I'm stupid like that. He puts the ring on my finger and kisses me. 

"This is one good surprise," I said. He looks at me as if to say turn around. I turn around and see my family behind me. Not just my mum, but my dad and two brothers. I go over to them and give them the biggest hug. We talked for a little and then I pulled Seth aside, he was talking to Nikki. "Hey, did you do all this by yourself?" Seth nods and then Nikki elbows him. "I helped with the party, he flew your family in," Nikki explains. 

I eventually start to talk to people who came. Surprisingly, Stephanie and Hunter were there. "Congrats Paige," Steph says as she hugs me. "Thank you." "Paige, you look nice." Hunter says. I was not expecting him to say anything. "Thanks, Hunter." It was kinda awkward. The rest of the party was good. We were just dancing, singing, having a great time. Hell, I even put Heath Slater in the PTO. Yes, we were all kinda drunk.

Seth and I go back to the hotel. "That was amazing, I'm not gonna lie," I say as I change into my pjs. He smiles at me. He was already in his pjs, laying in the bed. As I lay down on the bed, he says this, "I just wanted you to be happy. I love it when you're smiling and having a good time." This makes me smile. He kisses me and then we both fall asleep.
