Chapter 17- Instruments

~Spencer’s P.O.V~

I rubbed my face for the fifth time that hour. I was stressed out already. And this was the first show the boys were playing.

The instruments weren’t working for some reason and it was pissing me off; and on top of that I had to train Bree- which was a pain in the arse. She wouldn’t learn and just kept talking about high school.

“Bree” I sighed sadly “Have you taken any importance to the words that are coming out of my mouth for the past 10 minutes?” I asked her.

She looked at me “Huh?”

I groaned inwardly “Can you go do a double check on the instruments? We are about to do sound check” I said and she wondered off.

I sighed and then my phone buzzed in my back pocket.

Heeeyyy guurrlll J look up!

I looked up confused and there stood Perrie, Eleanor, and Danielle.

I squealed in happiness and walked over to them.

“Oh My God! You guys are here!!” I said and gave them massive hugs.

“We missed you!” said El. I smiled widely

“I missed you too!!!” I said fake crying. The girls laughed.

“When did you guys fly in?” I asked as we sat down on the leather couches.

“Today like…. 2 hours ago” said Danielle.

“You look tired love” said Perrie putting her hand on top of mine. Me and Perrie were like sisters. We were that close.

“I am; I’m running off of my Chai latte I had this morning” I sighed. The girls rubbed my back in sympathy.

Then we heard the 5 boys we absolutely love.

“Perrie!”

“Danielle!”

“Eleanor!”

“Spencer!”

Louis, Liam, Zayn, and Niall all yelled our names and we chuckled and got up to hug our boyfriends.

“I saw you like 15 minutes ago” I said to Niall as he pecked my cheek.

“I know, but I missed you” he pouted and I giggled at his childish ways.

“SOUNDCHECK boys!!!” yelled Paul and the boys said goodbye to their girlfriends and I waved also so I can go help with sound check.

“Alright boys” I said to Dan, Matt, Josh, and Sandy.

“How’s the instruments?” I asked them walking over to the electric guitar.

“Eh. Better” said Dan and I nodded.

“Alright boys you guys have your ear pieces?” asked Carla.

“Yup!” they said. Carla made a notion to the sound checks guys to run the track. The music started and so did the tape for the screaming girls- part of sound check because that’s what it sounds like at the concerts.

The boys started singing and then Carla and I were noticing the guitars weren’t working. I made eye contact with Dan and I told him to stop playing and Sandy did the same. They shook their heads in confusion. The boys turned around and looked at Dan, Sandy, and I. They looked at us in confusion. Then Liam suddenly took out his ear piece and winced a little. I knew that something was wrong. A crew member went over to him and asked what was wrong. He said that there was a sharp noise in it and it just wasn’t working right.

The crew members fixed the ear pieces and I found out what was wrong with the guitars- it wasn’t tuned right and apparently one of the strings was missing…. I don’t know but.

We continued on with sound check. Once I was done I went back stage and sat down on the couch and scrolled through twitter and instagram. Then I shut off my phone and decided to lay down.

I fell asleep and then I heard the sounds of the boys laughing and being boys. The boys of 5 SOS were all being goofballs with the boys of One Direction. I chuckled at looked at the time. It was 7:00.. the concert starts in 30 minutes. I got up and saw all the boys dressed and ready to go. I waved at them and they waved back. Niall sent me a smile and I smiled back. I walked past them down the hallway and found Dan, Sandy, Matt, and Josh. We got into our huddle and did our pre-post concert thingie. We did our high-fives and ate at least one skittle and Dan always said something inspirational and we hugged and I sent them off.

The boys always watched us and I laughed. They got in their group huddle and did their thing and got ready to go on stage. I went over to Niall and gave him his good luck kiss.

“You ready babe?” I asked with my hands on his torso.

“Kinda nervous… hadn’t had a concert in a while” he said

“You’ll do great” I told him and gave him a kiss.

“Now go out there and have some fun!” I told him and he chuckled at me and got ready to go on stage. They were gonna go on the stage lifters thing. When they start on the bottom and it brings them on the top- I think you get the jist of it.

I heard the music playing and boys got ready. When the boys went up on stage the fans screamed widely. I laughed and found Perrie, Danielle, and Eleanor all waiting for me so we can go and sit in the crowd and watch our boyfriends.

We linked hands and walked out. Security let us through and we sat in the front. The girls screamed even louder when they saw us causing us to smile. They were singing What Makes You Beautiful and Niall noticed and I pretended to fan girl causing him to laugh and he sent me a wink and I blew him a kiss- which he pretended to catch causing the fans to go ballistic.

The concert was great, it was fun and loud. The girls and I had a great time. When the boys sang little things- Niall started to tear up a bit. It was amazing how the fans sang along with the boys.

After the concert they met with fans and took pictures. The girls and I stayed in the back with 5 SOS we were having a blast. Calum, Luke and I were doing Vines and it was hilarious. By the time the boys were done with fans and what not- I was already asleep on the couch. My head on the arm rest. I was just soo tired. I felt someone pick me up and carry me somewhere- but then I blacked out again too tired to even care.
