Chapter 28- The highly anticipated Wedding

Carla was pacing the room in anxiety. Her palms were sweating and things weren’t looking good.

The place was filling up. Top celebrities were here like~ Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, James Corden, Alan Carr, Ellen DeGeneres and her wife. Our family was here also, along with some of Carla’s high school friends. Shelley and her sister Sophie were here. I was so excited to see her and the lads too. They all got along pretty well.

“Stop pacing” scolded Lou “You’re going to mess up your hair and makeup”

Carla sighed “I don’t know what to do” she muttered.

Everything was in place. The day was perfect and it was nice and sunny out. The girls and I were already dresses. The lads wanted to come in but Carla said no.

We sighed and decided to give her a minute and stepped out to see our boyfriends.

They were dressed in tuxes and they looked really sexy.

“Wow” breathed Niall. I blushed deep red and walked over to him. He gave me a spin and brought me in for a kiss.

“You don’t look half that bad yourself” I muttered against his lips.

I felt him smirk and kissed me again.

“You need to go sit down” I muttered and he reluctantly pulled away.

“I’ll see you after the wedding “I said and he nodded giving me one last kiss.

The girls said that they were gonna go get ready and I nodded and I walked in to see Carla.

“Hey you ok?” I asked her and she shook her head.

“I’m freaking out” she muttered.

Then I walked over to her and unwrapped a box that mom gave to me the day before she died.

“Here, something old” I said and she opened it. It was mom’s bracelet that dad gave to her on her wedding day.

She gasped and almost started crying.

“Hey now no crying” I said hugging her.

“I miss them so much” she sobbed “It should be dad walking me down that aisle” she said.

“I know I miss them too” I said wiping away a tear.

I put the bracelet on her wrist and she smiled.

“You have something new- the dress, something old- mom’s bracelet, something blue- the earrings, and something borrowed- the necklace from Perrie” I said clapping my hands.

She smiled at me.

“You ready?” I asked her and she nodded. I gave her, her bouquet of flowers and she walked out.

Paul was waiting for her- since he was the one walking her down the aisle. I saw Fiona and her husband Bill. I joined the girls where they were getting ready to walk down the aisle. We had our flowers and we lined up.

The music started and the flower girls walked down then we did. Niall gave me a wink and I smirked at him.

I saw Derek beaming from the alter; and I saw Christian standing there- looking upset.

Then the music started the guests all stood up. I saw Carla walk down the aisle looking quite beautiful. I heard several gasps from the audience on how beautiful she looked. I looked down at Lux who was a flower girl and I watched her smile.

Carla reached the alter and gave Paul a hug and he gave her a peck on the cheek, Paul is like a father to us and he was honored to walk Carla down the aisle.

Carla walked up and looked at Derek and gave him a smile- she handed me the flowers and everyone sat down.

The priest started talking about love and marriage and all that crap.

Then this is where it gets interesting.

The priest started doing the vows and they did the vows. It was beautiful by the way. Derek was very heartfelt and on how he fell in love with Carla, and how he didn’t want to spend his life alone.

Carla’s was sweet and somewhat heartfelt.

Then we got to THIS part.

“Do you Derek Smith take Carla Benson to be your lawful wedded wife, through sickness and in health?”

“I do” said Derek.

“Do you Carla Benson take Derek Smith to be your lawful wedded husband, through sickness and in health?”

No answer.

“Miss Carla?” asked the priest.

“I… don’t.. know” was all she said and ran off the alter.

The whole crowd let out a gasp and started to talk.

“What is the meaning of this?!” yelled out Fiona.

I was shocked.

I didn’t think that she was going to run off.

“Carla wait!” I said and handed my flowers to El who nodded and I ran after Carla.
