Love isn’t as rare as people say.

But love can be blind also. It can blind you from what really is love.

It can be dangerous and keep you from seeing what kind of person the person you love is really.

Love, is something I haven’t felt in a long time for a girl.

Now every time I look at her, it makes me fall more in love with her every day.

The way her nose crinkles when she laughs.

Or the way the sun hits perfectly on her hair making it shine.

The way her eyes light up when she sees me.

The way she nuzzles her head in the crook of my neck.

Or the way she hides in my chest when she’s nervous.

The way she fits like the other half of me when we lay down next to each other.

The way our hands fit like a puzzle piece.

She makes me happy.

I want to spend the rest of my life with her.

No doubt

I woke up to an empty bed. I groaned.

I was hoping to see her next to me.

Then I smelled bacon and put on a pair of sweats and jogged downstairs, to see my girlfriend in one of my white tees and her hair up in bun and she was swinging her hips to a song on the radio.

She looked so happy, just making breakfast and she was enjoying life.

I just smiled and leaned against the door frame just admiring her.

“Take a picture it’ll last longer” she smirked pulling me out of my trance.

I looked at her and slowly walked over to her.

“You’re so cute when you wear my clothes” I murmured against her neck.

“They’re comfy” she said back and I chuckled. She turned around and I wrapped my arms around her small waist and she went back to cooking the bacon and flipping pancakes.

“Those look good” I said and she muttered a ‘thank you’. She was concentrating and I knew it. The way her eyebrow furrowed like she was doing a math problem.

“So what do you want to do today?” she asked me.

I shrugged “We can go to the park and just walk around”

“Sounds good” she said and turned off all the burners and we grabbed our plates and ate in silence. After we ate and put the plates away we went upstairs to get ready. I was going to take a shower when I saw her in the closet, picking out clothes.

I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

“Come take a shower with me” I said and she giggled at me.

“Why?” she asked still looking at her clothes.

“Because I want you too, and we’ll save water” I said reasoning.

“Fine” she muttered and grabbed a pair of jeans and a loose sweater.

I dragged her into the bathroom and turned on the water.

We got in and I let the hot water run down my back and her back.

I leaned in and kissed her, I lightly pushed her against the shower wall and we kinda just forgot about the shower.

After we finished showering and brushing our teeth, we got dressed and walked out to the park.

It was a breezy day, but nice. The sun was out.

The park was full of kids and couples and old people.

It was very peaceful.

We walked over to the bridge and just looked out at the water.

I wrapped my arms around her and she rested her head on my chest.

“ I love you” I said and she looked up at me.

“I love you too Niall” she said and leaned up to give me a kiss.

“Thank you Niall” she said after we pulled apart.

“For what?” I asked.

“For everything, for being there for me and never giving up on us, on me, and believing in me” she said and I understood.

“I would do anything for you, Spencer. Hell I would take 10 plane just to see you if that was the choice. You’re sun on a rainy day. You’re my jelly to my peanut butter. You’re my other half. And I love you so so much” I told her and she smiled at me.

I love you too Niall” I said and I kissed her with so much passion.

I knew at that moment that I was with the girl I could love and protect.

And I knew that nothing was going to come in the way.

I knew that she was safe.

For after all Love is the only Safe Haven.
