"Get him restrained!," one voice boomed.

"We're trying!!," another yelled back.

"Whatever happens don't let him get to the girl!," another voice yelled in.

"What's happening!," I pleaded.

No one would answer me.
Men in white lab coats sprinted all around, bumping into each other and into me.
They all seemed to be in their own little worlds. I reached out for a man that was sprinting by me.

"Can you tell me what's going on?,"

"None of your business," he spat as he shrugged back his arm.

What was his issue?

"Cira we have to move now!," Cierra grabbed my arm and pulled me towards an exit.

"What's going on!"

"I'll explain later-"

"No! It's always later! Tell me now!," I demanded.

She studied me for moment, judging what to do.

"Fine. Aden is under restraint. He tried to kill Taylor in the training simulation after you passed out. He's currently being tranquilized to stop him"

"From what?," I was almost too afraid to ask.

"From getting to you. Now come on we have to go"

"No"

"What do you mean no?," she turned to me.

"Maybe if he sees me, hears my voice, I can get him to calm down"

"Okay," her jaw was clenched.

There was something in her eyes that I couldn't explain. She wasn't telling me something.

"Come on, let's go before he's under"

She led me through the sea of lab coats and to a wall with a tinted window that ran its length. She swiped a card through a scanner. It let out a beep and turned green.

Access granted.

A crack formed in the wall that divided it in two. The halves drew back to show an entrance. A white light glowed from the entry way. I took a step in when I was yanked back by an aggressive hand.

"What do you think you're doing!"

It was the jerk I bumped into from before.

"She's with me," Cierra stepped in front.

"You know this is dangerous. She doesn't belong in-"

He stopped talking mid sentence and his eyes glazed over. Cierra's did the same, it seemed like they were mind linking.
What were they talking about that they couldn't say in front of me? What is Cierra hiding?

His eyes returned to normal and he nodded his head in submission. I continued through the opening when the door closed behind me.

"Cira, can you hear me?," my sister's voice crackled through a speaker.

"Yeah, where are you?," I called.

"Look behind you"

I turned to see the once tinted window now clear. I could see Cierra and a couple of scientists scribbling something feverishly onto their clipboards. They looked like they were in a sound booth of sorts, like the ones at my dad's station.
