*Fionna's POV*

I swallowed, before knocking sharply on the door. Jenna answered after a few minutes, dressed in a white shift. "You're back quickly."
"I need to talk to you."
She leaned against the doorway. "Talk, or...?"
"Talk." I clarified quickly.

She pouted. "Really? And I thought you were here for me. Very well, come in. It's cold out there."
I followed her back into the small room, where there was a fire crackling in the fireplace.
"Well?"
"F-first, did you sell your poisons to anyone before your father died?" She was standing in a way that made the fire highlight her silhouette from behind, and made her hair look like copper. It was very distracting.
"Hmm... well, there's Rebecca, but they've never met. She lives down the mountain. Maybe you've met her?" She purred. "Other than that, no one really comes for them. The blacksmith buys them from time to time. Rubbing them on swords gives the weapons a... bit of an edge."

She bit her lip playfully, and moved forward so that she was sitting next to me. Unlike last time I was on a sort of couch in front of the fire, which was fairly small. I tried to move away, and she let me.
"But he wouldn't have poisoned your father?"
"Heavens no. All the men in town loved my father."
"But... they loved you more?"

She shrugged. "Some. Not all. If you're going to judge me, judge your precious de-- half-demon. He was certainly no novice, drunk or otherwise."
"I'm not judging." I said quickly.
She beamed at me. "Good girl. Now, was there anything else that you wanted to ask me?"
"Wh-where do you keep your poisons?"

"Mm. I keep the brewed ones locked away in a safe in glass bottles the blacksmith's boy made for me. I keep the ingredients-- just as bad, really, pet-- locked away in a garden surrounded by a brick wall that only I have the key to. The wall is quite high, pet."
"I'm not your pet."
She pouted. "I suppose that you aren't. But I'd like you to be, and some part of you would too, wouldn't you?"

"I-I-I... uh..."
She giggled. "Oh, pet. It's so much fun with you."
"I-I'm not..."
"I bet you're a virgin too, aren't you?"
"I-I... that's none of your business!"

She cupped my cheek. "I love this shade of scarlet, pet. And don't worry. I'll be slow and sweet with you, if you want me."
"I can't cheat on Marshall. That's not fair to him."
"Oh, poor sweet... you're the kind who saves their self for their soulmate, aren't you? And who will never have anyone else? Oh, sweet little pet."

"I'm not going to... I'm here to help him!"
"Pet, I'm not going to ravish you unless you tell me that you want me to." She chuckled. "I won't even kiss your pretty red face if you don't explicitly say that you want me. Did you think me the type to force myself on you? Oh, pet, you wound me."

"...Jenna..."
"Ooh, pet, I'm no longer Callaghan?"
"Did you see Marshall Lee and your father talking together in the kitchen?"
"Hmm... I might have. Let's be honest, pet. We both know that the half-demon didn't do it. He knows it too. But it's his word against mine, and even though a fool could see that I did it, they're never going to burn me at the stake."

"But why him?"
"I needed a scapegoat. I didn't think he'd be back so soon, if at all. His early departure helped. Was that what you wanted to know, pet? That your precious little soulmate was innocent? Because I do wish that I didn't accidentally contribute to the murder of anybody, but oh well. Now I get you all to myself."
"But you murdered your father."
"So? Were you looking for a denial? I like murders on purpose, I can control them easier and keep innocents from being hurt. Father was no innocent, not like you, pet."

"You want to kill my soulmate!"
"No, pet. I don't. I want to escape trial. I explained this already. I have no ill will towards him, he's just in my way." She pouted. "Now that that's out of the way, may I have a kiss?"
"I have to go tell--"
"Oh, shush pet. They likely already know. Shaming them into acknowledging that they would have killed an innocent won't help anything, it'll just hurt their sense of pride. Someone needs to be a scapegoat, and it won't be either of us, pet." She cooed.

"I'm not your pet." I snapped.
She raised an eyebrow. "Then why keep coming back, pet? I'm not a nice person. I told you enough that you can fill in the blanks yourself. You can't be comparing us for the demon's sake, you know full well that I'm much more interested in you and so is he."
"This is really..."
"Pet, please may I have a kiss?" She purred. "Just one? Then I'll testify at the Demon's trial tomorrow, and pass myself off as a scapegoat. You'll both walk free, and I'll just spend a few nights in jail. You can even justify it like this."

"But if I don't want to?"
"I'll still testify, pet. It's no fun when someone's angry with you like this. But please, just one kiss? A long one, preferably."
"It's-it's not cheating, is it?"
"No. It really will help me testify. See, you can be loyal to the demon and--"

I cut her off with a kiss. Her lips were softer than Marshall's.
She pulled me down on top of her, lips still moving in synchronization. One of her hands tangled in my hair, the other one pushing me down from behind.
Finally, I pulled away.
She grinned at me. "Well, pet. I think that will do it, don't you?"

"Please don't bring it up." I begged.
"Oh, don't worry pet. It's our little secret. I know you love your half-demon more than anything else, and you know it too. Run along, pet, before the big bad pansexual extracts another kiss, hmm?"

*Author's Note*

1) Blame Jenna if you want. But to me she is a strong independent woman in control of her sexuality. Also this whole thing is getting a bit stupid to her and it will weigh on her conscience.

"Lauren that kiss scene was more detailed than the one with Marshall. Like... buddy, that was all a lot more detailed than anything you've given Marshall."
Listen. I know how some of you are thirsty for Marshall Lee, and I can respect that. But honestly, who wouldn't make out with Jenna Callaghan?? I would.

2) No one is straight in this story. Not the villains. Not the heroes. Not the supporting characters. Not the author. No one. You didn't see their partner? Doesn't matter. No one is heterosexual. (I'm saying this now because Honoria and Dorian and most of the side characters won't explicitly have partners but you need to know okay).
