I was at my desk, finishing up the last problem in the book. The first hour has been okay. Odell and his friends didn't make jokes at me so I thought I was in the clear. Keyword: Thought.
Mrs.Sullivan—Our teacher, phone rang out the blue. She answered it and stepped out the classroom. Why did she do that?
Odell and his friends all turned around and looked at me. Here it comes.
"Wassup thunder thighs." Odell's friend Jarvis joked, earning a snicker from the class. I lowered my head in embarrassment.
"We hear yo thighs from a mile away. When they slap together, it's over." Victor added on, making the class laugh louder.
I started tapping my nails to keep myself from crying. I'm very sensitive when it comes to my thighs, very sensitive.
"Ayo Yvonnie you remind me of Squidward off of SpongeBob when he ate all them Krabby Patties and it went to his thighs. Stop eating before you blow up." Odell teased before bursting out into laughter. Of course the class followed.
I felt my whole body become hot as tears fell from my eyes. I got up from my seat and ran out the classroom. I heard Mrs.Sullivan call my name but I didn't bother to turn back. Once I was out of her sight, I walked. I made it to my quiet spot I found and just sat there crying my eyes out. What did I do to get treated like this?

Mrs.Sullivan walked back inside the room with an irritated look on her face. She stood in front of the class and leaned back on her desk with her arms folded.
"Yvonnie, crying, running. Who did it?" She squinted her eyes as she looked around the classroom.
Students immediately started pointing at me. Snitch asses. Mrs.Sullivan dagger eyes landed on me. Damn.
"Odell, go to the principals office. I will let him know you're on your way up there too." She dismissed me. I shrugged carelessly and got up from my seat. I dapped my boys before walking out the class, going to the principals office.
When I made it, I knocked on the door. Hearing a deep voice say "come in," I opened the door and closed it behind me. I sat in the soft cushion chair that was in front of Principal Edwards.
"Mr.Beckham," He sighed and leaned back in his seat. "Mrs.Sullivan explained to me what happened. You know Ms.Campbell has insecurity issues, so why are you and your friends teasing her?"
I shrugged, not knowing what to say. I just wanted to get the fuck up out of here.
"Alright since you don't know, prom is in exactly 3 weeks. Be nice and ask her to be your prom date. Take her dress shopping, take her to prom, give her the best night of her life." When I heard that my eyes widen and I jerked forward from my seat.
"What?! No! I was planning on taking Kalissa!" I defended, referring to my girlfriend of 2 years.
Mr.Edwards mimicked me and shrugged, "Well I guess you don't want to go to the football state finals that week after."
I kissed my teeth and groaned. This guy was really blackmailing me.
"Fine! I'll be nice to her and ask her to prom and all that but once that's over, I'm never speaking to her!"
"That includes you and your friends to stop bothering her. If I get anymore complaints before the prom, you will not be going to the state finals." He said in a serious tone while writing something down on a green sheet of paper.
"Goodbye Mr.Beckham." He handed me the green slip and sent me on my way.
That's just great.
