Yvonnie

"Wait so let me get this straight. Loren and Maurice is really your parents, and Selena and Darryl are your aunt and uncle?" Giana asked, trying to clarify. I nodded and sniffled.

Giana, Odell, and I were all at the park, and I was telling them what happened.

"Damn, I'm sorry baby." Odell hugged me and kissed my cheek.

"You shouldn't be mad at your aunt and uncle. At least they took you in and loved you like you were their own. You should be mad at your real parents for not telling you soon enough and not taking you back when they were finally stabled." Giana said.

"That's true." Odell agreed with Giana. I mean, yeah that's true. They really did take good care of me.

"You're right, Giana." I pulled out my phone to check the time. It was exactly 6:45 p.m. And there's school tomorrow.

"Alright. I'll go home and talk to my aunt and uncle. Thanks guys." I got up from the bench with them.

I hugged Giana and hugged Odell, pecking his lips.

"I'll check up on you later on, alright." Odell stated in my ear but it was more of a question.

"Okay, junior." From there, we all went our separate ways.

I breathed in and out, outside the house door, ready to face my actual aunt and uncle. I stuck the house key in twisted it, unlocking the door. I walked in and tried to close the door softly but it ended up slamming.

My aunt and uncle walked out the kitchen to see what was going on. Aunt Selena ran over to me and hugged me tightly.

"I'm glad you're okay Yvonnie! We were worried about you!" She said sounding relieved.

"I'm fine." I expressed, hoping to put their minds to rest. She sighed in relief and squeezed me, making it harder for me to breathe.

"Selena." Uncle Darryl said sternly. Aunt Selena released me and smiled but it soon went away when she noticed I wasn't smiling.

"Baby, we're sorry we didn't tell you. It's just that—" She didn't get to finish up her apology because I cut her off.

"I'm not mad at you guys." I said lowly before going upstairs.

I went inside my room and closed the door. I sat back on my bed and stared at the ceiling, just thinking.

My thoughts were soon cut off when my phone went off. I took out my phone to see who it was and it was Odell. I slid my finger across the screen, answering the call.

"Hello?" Odell called.

"Hey babe." I answered, a smile appeared on my face.

"Wassup ma. You good?" He asked me. I was about to answer until I heard Kordell in the background.

"Is that my girl Yvonnie?! Tell her I said hi!" He yelled. Odell kissed his teeth in irritation.

"Shut up Kordell."

"Hi Kordell." I giggled at him. He swears up and down I'm the cutest thing in the world and that I'm actually dating him.

"Ayeee! Hey baby!" Suddenly I heard something being thrown and it ended with a loud thump.

"Oh my god! Ow!" Kordell yelped out, so dramatically. He's just like Odell.

"The pillow ain't even hit you so shut up. Go upstairs." Odell ordered to him. After that, I didn't hear Kordell. He must've left.

"Sorry bout that." Odell returned and chuckled, "Anyways, as I was saying, you okay?"

"I will be. I told my aunt and uncle I'm not mad at them." I got up from the bed and walked in my bathroom.

I put the phone on speaker and rested it on the counter. I brushed my hair up into a high ponytail and grabbed my scarf and bonnet.

"Was your real parents there?" He asked. I shook my head but then realized he couldn't see me. My slow ass.

"No. But I guarantee you they'll be here tomorrow afternoon." I shrugged and grabbed my toothbrush and the toothpaste tube.

He chuckled in reply, "Just talk them. Hear em' out, see what they have to say. Shit, you did it for me." He joked.

I spit out the foaming toothpaste that was in my mouth and laughed. "I was technically sleeping when you expressed your feelings."

"Pretended." He corrected.

"Yeah." I smiled. "Now look where we are." I bit down on my bottom lip, feeling my cheeks getting hot.

"I bet you, you smiling up a storm." He predicted. I quickly stopped smiling and started laughing.

"I know you not talking. You stay smiling." I said. It was silence for a while till I heard his voice again.

"Alright, I'll give you that one."

"Mhm." I grabbed my phone and walked into my room. "Alright I'm about to go to sleep cause we got school in the morning."

"K, goodnight big head."

"Goodnight ugly." I shot back and giggled. I ended the call and plugged my phone in before getting inside my bed.

GOALS *Jarvis voice* Lol. It's only a few chapters left until the book is over. But guess what...

There's going to be a sequel!

I need some sequels names. Nothing with Plus Size in it though. They'll be in college by then.

Don't be afraid, comment some for me please.
