All throughout the day, Yvonnie has been on my mind. I literally couldn't think about anything else but her. I ended up taking Kennedy but I don't know what i'ma do cause I have football practice.

I walked inside the locker room with my uniform on and Kennedy was right beside me in her carseat. She cried a couple of times today, but I changed and fed her before I got here so she should be good. I sat on the bench, staring at Kennedy.
I heard something tapping against something so I turned my head and seen coach in his office. He pointed at me and motioned his finger, telling me to come in. I got up and walked inside the office, closing the door behind me.
"Yeah coach?" I asked him, sitting down in a seat.
"What's that baby doing here?" He turned his head and looked at Kennedy's carseat.
"I have to take care of her." I answered him.
"Where's your partner?"
"...She's in the hospital." I cleared my throat and looked down, my mind thought about Yvonnie again.
Coach mouth formed into an "o" shape. "That's the one that passed out this morning?" I nodded my head.
"I'm sorry son. Are you going to see her?" He asked. I chewed my bottom lip and nodded.
"Yeah, I am."
"Alright. You can leave now. Tell the others to get out on the field." He ordered before sending me out.
I left the office and told everyone to head out on the field.

I sat up in the hospital bed, watching tv. My parents, and my aunt and uncle came. The doctor told me my stress level was high and that I needed to stay in hospital for a while. Also that I needed to get a lot of rest, which was fine with me.
"You're okay sweetie?" My aunt Loren asked for the 100th time. I nodded my head and giggled.
"I'm fine auntie. I'm just hungry, and I didn't want to eat this nasty hospital food." I looked over at my food tray.
It had plate of spaghetti, that looked cold and nasty, some vegetables, an apple, crackers, and chocolate pudding as my dessert. I had a side of water. I wanted to throw up just by looking at the food.
"Alright Yvonnie, we're all gonna go to the Chinese restaurant to get some food. We'll be back later. If you need something, click the button beside you." My mom said. They were really about to go get some food AFTER I just said I refuse to eat this hospital food.
"Can y'all at least bring me something back?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. They all shook their heads no and left.
Wow.
5 minutes later there was a knock at the door. I thought it was the doctor or nurse coming in to check my blood pressure but instead it was GiGi and she had a Wendy's bag.
"Vonnie!" She squealed and ran over to hug me. "You alright girly?"
I nodded and smiled before looking down at the Wendy's bag. I pointed to it and looked at GiGi, "Is that for me?"
She chuckled and handed the bag to me, "Go ahead. Eat up." I snatched the bag out her hand and began to eat the food.
"Thanks GiGi." I shoved some fries in my mouth. This was soooo good.
"No problem. I'm just glad you're alright."

GiGi and I talked for about a good 30 minutes until she had to leave. Now I was just alone, watching tv again. The nurse came in to check my blood pressure. She told me I was just fine. I turned over and looked at the time, 6:37 p.m. Hm. Maybe I should go to sleep.
I was about to go to sleep but then the door opened. I opened one eye and seen it was Odell. He had some balloons and flowers. I pretended I was asleep and closed my eyes. I heard the balloons being tied to the bed and the flowers being placed beside me. Shit, I'm not dead.
He pulled a chair next to me and sat down, "Wow. Even in a hospital gown you still look beautiful." He chuckled to himself. "This is all my fault."
Ya damn skippy its ya fault nigga.
"I was gonna ask you to dinner tonight, but after today, you'll probably be here for a while. So I'm gonna tell you everything that I was gonna tell you tonight." He took a deep breath, "First off, I'm saying sorry. Since prom, shit has been hell for all of us. I know you didn't want to be my partner for the baby project, but I wanted to be yours. This project made us all go crazy and you know it. You know I didn't mean when I said I didn't want to be your partner. I'm sorry for just leaving you with Kennedy. And I'm truly sorry for putting you in here. Next, I've been meaning to tell you this for the longest, but I love you Yvonnie. I know I may not show it all the time but I really do. I love everything about you. You've really changed me. That's why I didn't want to tell you that all of that stuff was planned. I didn't intend to fall in love with you but I did. That's why I was so hurt when all that went down at prom. At home, I cried Yvonnie cause I knew I fucked up badly. I was scared and mad at myself. Scared because I thought I was gonna lose you and mad cause I knew I should've told you earlier...I'm really really sorry Yvonnie." He looked down and sniffled.
My eyes opened and I looked over at him with a smirk on my face. "I really look good in a hospital grown?" He picked his head up quickly and looked at me.
He gave me a long hug and smiled, "I'm so glad you're okay." He pulled away.
"You meant everything you said?" I asked him softly. He looked down, that smile never left his face.
"Yeah, I did. I meant everything I said. I really do love you." He said biting his lip. I looked down, my cheeks felt flushed.
"Well...I love you too." I admitted. He dug in his back pocket and handed me a small box. I opened it and there was a gold necklace that had my name crusted in it with tiny diamonds.
I gasped and looked at him. I leaned over and gave him a big hug, "Thank you so much Odell."
"You're welcome. That also means I'm done beating around the bush...so be my princess."
I scrunched my face up at him shook my head, "No."
"What?" His face went blank.
I started laughing, "I'm just kidding. Of course I'll be your princess. Your curvy plus size princess." I smiled. He pulled me into a long hug and passionate kiss.

Nah I'm just kidding lol. This book not ending no time time soon. They gotta get through graduation! But I'm thinking about doing a sequel. Just haven't came up with a name yet.
