                                                                Ashley’s POV

I woke up in Harry’s house on the couch with Lorraine’s feet next my head. My temples were pounding as I tried to stand, bits and pieces of last night showing up in my head. I looked down to see Lorraine still sleeping, her copper hair fanned out around her.

I walked into the kitchen to get some coffee and maybe a few Advil. Harry and Niall sat at the table, both drinking coffee and looking really hung-over. I could only imagine I looked the same.

“Fresh coffee in the pot, and Advil in the cupboard,” Harry spoke up, seemingly better than Niall. I just grumbled a small “thanks,” and made my way towards the coffee.

Once my headache calmed down a bit, I joined Harry and Niall at the table. “So how exactly did I get here?”

“Liam was the most sober, so he just drove us all here. I’m surprised he didn’t take Lorraine with him,” Harry clarified. Why didn’t Liam take Lorraine with him? Are they okay?

“I’m not really sure either. One thing I do know is that he throws amazing parties.”  I commented, feeling slightly better since the medicine.

“If I had a drink, I’d drink to that,” Niall suddenly spoke up, lifting his head off of the table for a split second. I just giggled and hit his arm playfully.  “Oi, watch it.” He grumbled.

“Why don’t you go in the guestroom and lay down, Niall?” Harry suggested and Niall stood up and went off in that direction.

“So what do you want to do today?” Harry asked me.

“I don’t know. Don’t care really,” I shrugged. “I do actually wanna figure out what’s up with Li and Lorraine.  Something just kind of seems off, right?” I wondered aloud.

“Just a bit,” he pursed his lips, face contorted in thoughts. “Maybe we can go out with Lorraine, and I’ll be texting Liam?” He suggested. A smile broke out on my face at my boyfriend’s words.

“Sounds great babe, I’ll go wake up Lorraine and get ready.”

About an hour later, Lorraine and I were dressed and ready to go to lunch and then to the movies with Harry.

Lorraine was honestly still a bit hungover, but that was to be expected. I really just wanted to find out why Liam wouldn’t even take his girlfriend back to his house after throwing her such an extravagant party. From the looks of it though, Lorraine has no idea about anything. Oblivious as ever.

Harry started texting Li a bit before we left, and by the time we got to the diner for lunch, he was still texting. Maybe this was a good thing?  All of a sudden, his phone rang violently and Harry flashed me the “one minute” signal before he left to answer it.

“Hm, he seems busy with his phone,” Lorraine casually commented. I just shrugged and flicked a straw wrapper at her. We sat in silence a few minutes before Harry came back.
