Star Crossed

Calum's POV

I was currently heading to the kitchen to get myself another drink when I saw Jessica was by herself at the corner of the room. This is my chance I thought to myself as I took one last gulp of my drink. I walked over to her while getting bumped into a few people here and there. "H-hhey" I said trying not to stutter but failed. "Oh hey" she said looking at me taking in all of my features. "Why are you all by yourself in a corner?" I asked her. "Oh, I was with Samantha but she left." She replied sounding a bit disappointed. "Oh...mind if I join you...Michael disappeared and Ashton is with some girl, I can't find Luke anywhere." I said surprised I didn't stutter this time. She stayed silent for a moment and I was afraid she would tell me to leave her alone. "Yea I don't mind, and about Luke he's with Samantha." She spoke glancing at the crowd of drunk teenagers. Why was Luke with Samantha, where was Arzaylea? Why didn't anyone tell me anything? It didn't matter I was going to hang out with Jessica who I wanted to get to know.

*10 min later*

Jessica and I have been talking for about 10 minutes and I learned that her and Samantha have been best friends since they were about 11 years old, and both were really into music so decided to make a band. "Hey... Guuuuuyes!!!" A very drunk Michael approached us with a beer in his hand and could bearly walk up straight. He started walking up towards us but soon bummed into the wall, Jessica followed with a light chuckle. "I'll take him upstairs and lie down." Jessica said gesturing to Michael who was leaning on the wall. "I'll help you out." I added. "You guys are great people... can I k-kiss you?" Michael said looking at Jessica, who simply chuckled. Michael soon placed a small kiss on her cheek and she blushed looking at the ground. I could help but feel a ping of jealousy strike my chest.
