Star Crossed

Banding: Samantha's POV

I opened the door and there appeared my best friend, Jessica. I wasted no time pulling her into a hug, I sighed and I could hear her chuckle. "Maybe we should wait until I actually get inside." she said while we both pulled apart. I hadn't noticed but I could see Calum in the back talking to Luke by the doorway. "Oh hey, Calum." I greeted him, I was still nervous around him since we hadn't spoken much. "Hi Sam, mind if I join you guys?" he asked while looking between me and Luke, I couldn't help but think he was infering something but I quickly dissmissed it. "Nope, you guys can come up to my room. Luke and I were just talking and eating ice cream." I answered glancing at the stairwell heading up to my room.

*30 min later*

Calum and Luke were still over at our house not that minded, the guys were still out partying. It was currently 2:00am but neither of us were sleepy, I decided to walk over to my Xbox and play for a while. Jessica, Calum, and Luke were having a little conversation of their own so I took the open oppertunity. I turned on the tv and the game system and signed in, I wasn't the biggest gamer but I did know how to play and was quite good at Black Ops.

"You play?!" a shocked Luke asked me while looking at the controller that was resting on my lap. "Yea, my brothers always played so I guess I kinda learned from them." I said looking back at the tv and waited for the game to load. "Do you guys wanna play? I have 3 other controllers." I offered looking at the 3 of them. Jessica also knew how to play we would usually play together and the boys would join too. "Yea, I call being second player though." Calum answered first while getting up to get a controller soon followed by a Luke and Jessica.

*1 hour later*

A empty pizza box was on my floor and 4 empty soda cans were scattered over my room. The room was filled with shouts from all of us, the game was getting in tense. We had decided to split up into 2 groups Calum and Jess in one, and Luke and I in another. We were currently playing multiplayer (you basically shoot at each other for team points) Calum and Jess were in the lead by 2 points and Luke and I were desperately trying to get ahead of them. With only 5 minutes left in the game we were behind by one, I had killed Calum which resulted in him playfully punching me. Jessica was chasing Luke who was screaming at the tv, now there was only 1 minute left. Things were getting way more intense, than I had an idea. Since Jessica was chasing Luke I was going to chase behind her and shoot her in the back.

*30 seconds left*

I spotted Jessica with only 30 seconds left in the game, I was about to pull the trigger when I was out of nowhere shot by the one and only Calum. He must of knew I would come up with a sneaky plan and used it against me. "Yesss!! VICTORY!!" Calum and Jess both cheered while leaping up to their feet. "Dammit I was so close." I said sounding annoyed. Luke playfully slapped Calum. I got up I hadn't realized I was so tired until now all I wanted to do now was sleep.

"Alright guys it's late we should probably get going." Calum said grabbing his phone. I glanced over to my clock it read 4:30am, there was no way me and Jessica were gonna allow these two to walk home so late. "You guys can't go around walking home at 4 in the morning." I said earning the attention of both of them. "Yea, it's too late guys. If you want you guys can sleep over." Jessica added. Luke and Calum stared at each other for a moment and then nodded their heads.

I sighed in relief, I didn't want anything to bad to happen while they walked home. "Calum you can sleep in my room, and Luke I don't think Sam would mind if you slept in her room tonight." Jessica said looking at me. "No it's fine, you can sleep here." I said to Luke. Calum and Jessica walked out heading to her room, leaving Luke and I alone. I turned to Luke who was already taking his shoes off and was shirtless. I handed him a couple of blankets a pillow, he laid on my carpeted floor and rested his head.

"Wait what are you doing?" I asked Luke who was laying on the floor. "What do you mean, I'm going to sleep." he said with a chuckle. "I know that but I was going to sleep on the floor, you should sleep on my bed." I said looking at Luke who turned his head in my direction. "I'm not letting you sleep on the floor Sam." he said still turned towards me. "I'm not letting you sleep on the floor either." I said crossing my arms to prove my point. "Fine, what do you suppose we do then?" he said getting up. "We'll just have to share the bed." I said getting nervous. We bearly met and now I'm sharing a bed with him? Did he think I was trying a make a move on him, cause I wasn't. I was just being nice. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Luke moving around on my bed. I took off my shoes and put my hair up. I then grapped some clothes and changed in my bathroom, once I was done I opened the door to find that Luke was lightly snoring. I made my way to my bed careful to not wake him up and laid next to him. Luke and I where facing both opposite directions when all of a sudden he flipped on his other side and pulled me closer, his arm around my waist. I slowly drifted off to sleep, with a smile on my face thinking about the fun I had with the boys.
