January

Winter has finally taken its hold

Bringing with it bitter cold

Frosty air and frozen panes

Ice covered trees and snowy lanes

Shocking contrast of Winterberries

Icy rain and winter flurries

January may be cold and grey

But I wouldn't change a single day

Of snuggling close, cozy and warm

Watching the world slumber and dorm

Enjoying having nowhere to go

A time to read and hot cocoa

Some spend this time sad and depressed

Wishing their skin sun kissed and caressed

January may be cold and grey

But I wouldn't change a single day
