Getting Closer And Closer

Ventus woke up to the sound of his alarm on his phone. He groaned turning off the alarm and started to get up, but as he was about to, he couldn't as he was in someone's arms. He turned slowly as to not wake the person up. Once he was turned around completely, he realized who it was and his face became red. A few inches from his face was Vanitas looking to be fast asleep. He started to struggle and get out of Vanitas' grip, but the more he struggled, the tighter the grip was around. After awhile Ventus stopped struggling as he was but a few centimeters away. Just as he stopped struggling a grin formed on Vanitas' mouth as his eyes opened as golden orbs met deep blue. They stared at each other for a moment before Ventus realized the position he was in. "Vanitas let go of me, I have to get ready for school and so do you!" he said as Vanitas pulled him closer and kissed him on the lips before letting go and sitting up on the edge of the bed.

Ventus closed his eyes and took a moment to process what just happened with what happened last night, the blush never leaving his cheeks. After about awhile, Ventus felt Vanitas stood up from his bed as he opened his eyes to look what he was going to do. He saw Vanitas rummage through his backpack and pulled out a pair of new clothes and went to the bathroom. After he heard the bathroom door locked, Ventus let out a sigh of relief before sitting up. "Why is this happening now..." Ventus asked himself as he began to shake off the blush. He went over to his closet and decided what to wear. After about ten minutes, Vanitas got out the bathroom completely changed and looked ready. He was wearing a white shirt with a black unzipped hoodie over it and knee length shorts with a couple of buttoned pockets near the bottom as well. 

Vanitas went over to the bed table and picked up his phone looking at the time, "Jeez what's wrong with you, I could've gotten another hour of sleep. Why do you wake up so early anyways?" he asked as Ventus just scoffed, "Well no one asked you to wake up, you decided that for yourself." Ventus said with a shrug before going into the bathroom to get ready. After awhile Ventus got out and now wearing a blue short sleeved collared shirt with white knee length shorts. "Well I'm going downstairs to make breakfast" Ventus said grabbing his phone and heading out and down the steps. He started on breakfast as he cooked omelets with cheese and ham in the middle as he wrapped it and put on on each plate. As he continued to cook, he didn't realize that he had company in the kitchen. The intruder wrapped his arms around his waist as that made him jump. Ventus looked to see who it was and saw that it was only Vanitas, "do you do this everyday?" Vanitas asked. Ventus nodded as he turned his attention back to the bacon that was sizzling on the pan. 

After he was done cooking the bacon he toasted two toast for each plate, the entire time Vanitas was watching right behind him. Ventus and Vanitas ended up both bringing the plates and setting them on the table. Just as everything was set, Sora and Roxas walked down. "Morning!" Sora and Roxas said together. "Morning" Ventus and Vanitas said back. They sat down after their little greeting with Ventus and Vanitas on one side of the table and Sora and Roxas across from them. Ventus and Vanitas ate quietly as Roxas and Sora on the other hand were chatting away without a care. "Oh we forgot to tell you two. Since Halloween is coming up next moth, Axel is having a party and is inviting everyone!" Roxas said. "Yeah, so you two gonna go?" Sora asked. Ventus shrugged "I guess..." he said not caring much. "What about you Vani?" Sora asked his twin. "Whatever, I'll go..." Vanitas said blandly looking at something on his phone and scrolling around as he ate. 

"Great, and you two better be there, no bailing out got it?" Roxas commanded more than say. Ventus and Vanitas just nodded as they continued to eat. "You know, you two could add a little more enthusiasm to your actions..." Sora said sighing at the two's energy. Vanitas looked up and put down his phone, "How do you want us to respond to it? Are we supposed to put our hands in the air and cheer our heads off?" Vanitas said once again blandly as he finished eating and brought his plate to the sink cleaning it and dried it off putting it away in the process. "That might be a little too much, how about putting more energy to your replies!" Sora suggested earning a look from Vanitas that was a 'Are you stupid, you should know me by now' look. Ventus just stayed quiet and cleaned and dried off and putting his plate and silverware away before walking out of the kitchen with his phone in his hands.

After Ventus left, Sora and Roxas both looked at Vanitas, "What?" he said.  "Nothing, just what did you two do last night?" Roxas asked earning a grin from Vanitas. "For one, it was less than what you two did believe me." he said chuckling. "Uh huh..." Roxas said with a mischievously look as he put an arm around Sora. "What do you think I was gonna do?" Vanitas asked. "Ohh you know... taking advantage of the privacy that you two had and those things.." Roxas explained before he and Sora stand up to clean their plates and putting them away. Vanitas rolled his eyes "pfft please... You don't think I'm working on it?" Vanitas said which caused Roxas to continue the subject further. "So you are planning to, when?"He asked. "That is none of your business so don't stuck your nose where it doesn't belong." Vanitas said before walking out of the kitchen to grab his school bag. After a half an hour later, all four boys headed out of the household and walked to school together.
