Everything Begins With You

As Ventus and Vanitas reached the school, Ventus did what he was asked as he stuck close to Vanitas. As they walked through the school, Ventus couldn't help but feel awkward as he looked down trying to avoid all the looks that he was getting. Vantias noticed this as he squeezed the other's hand in his and continued walking to class sending the other students a glare that would probably kill someone if it could. As they were just about to reach they're classroom, a group of students blocked their way. Vanitas gritted his teeth growling, ready to tear each one of them apart. "Out. Of. The. Way." Vanitas said sternly looking at the group of students with his sharp golden eyes. Figuring that they couldn't get in the way, they started to shift away from the door nervously as a few had scared expressions on their faces. Ventus looked at Vanitas as he was given a sign of relief.

Though it helped, it didn't completely get rid of the nervous feeling inside. Just as they were about to into the class room, Ventus felt a hand on his shoulder as he was pulled back, his hand slipping out of the raven's. As Vanitas felt the blonde's hand slip out of his he turned around to see what happened. There stood Seifer hold Ventus' wrists and hand the blonde's arms against his back. He tried to get out of the hold but to no avail. "Let him go Seifer or you'll regret it!" Vantias demanded angrily as he stepped towards the other. "Stay where you are Fair, you wouldn't want to make things worse now would you? You're in no position to be making demands, especially when we have the most precious person to you.

Ventus continued to struggle, but no matter what he did, he couldn't get out. That didn't stop him though as he continued to struggle. Seifer gripped the blonde's wrist harder pushing aginst his back rougher as an sudden movements or struggles would send a sharp pain through his shoulders. Seeing this Vanitas balled his hands into fists ready to strike at Seifer. "Out of the way!" A feminine voice was heard as a blonde headed girl walked to the center where everything was taking place. "Oh Vanitas, I didn't expect you to be here." The blonde girl that was Larxeene said with "innocence" in her voice.

"Don't try to act innocent Larxeene, tell Seifer to let Ventus go!" Vanitas demanded, his growl becoming more menacing by the second. Larxeene walked closer to the raven as takes his hands trying to lace their fingers together, "Come on Vanitas, I can do so much more than him. All he is is a barrier keeping us apart when we should actually be together~" She said seductively. Vanitas roughly pulled his hands away from her's as he glared at her. "Listen up Larxeene, if you don't leave Ventus alone, I swear you will regret it your entire life time!" he said not a tint of calmness or any of the sort except for anger. Before Larxeene could say anything else, the teacher arrived in the center.

"Care to explain why you kids are all outside of class after the bell is rung?! And Seifer let Ventus go, you should know better!" He scold as Seifer immediately let go of Ventus. Once he was free from his grasp, Vanitas went over to Ventus and pulled him close as he saw the blonde taking a hold of his hand tightly. "And as for you Larxeene, I want you and Seifer to go straight to the principal's office this instant! Everyone else go to class, except you two..." In a flash the other students scurried into the classroom or the direction of their class down the halls.

"Thanks Mr. Vexen.." Vanitas said as his anger began to die down as every muscle in his body began to un-tighten themselves from the eariler event. "It is my pleasure. After all, I wouldn't want one of my best students to get hurt now would we?" Mr. Vexen said with a small grin as well as an unknown hint in his voice that the two boys didn't seem notice. "Well class needs to begin, both of you head inside the room, I'll be in there in a bit. I have to head to the principal's office to inform them of the two students so they won't get off easy." he said as Vanitas nodded in response as he started to head down the hall to the principal's office.

Vanitas turned his head slightly to look at Ventus that was still holding his hand tightly and cowering a bit. He pulled away from the blonde so they were facing each other before he placed his lips on him. Taken by surprise, but nonetheless Ventus kissed back. "I'm glad you're safe..." Vanitas said in a low voice pulling away as only their foreheads touched. "V..Vanitas, I'm sorry. All I'm causing his trouble for you. Larxeene is right, all I'm doing is making you life tougher than it needs to be. Maybe... Maybe we should stay away from each other.." Ventus said quietly pulling away completely looking down at the floor.
