Binding Together

Ventus awoke from the name he and Vanitas had about two hours ago. He sat up and looked around, not seeing the raven haired teen anywhere. "Where did he go..." Ventus said under his breath as he got to the edge of bed and stood up making his bed to make a discomfort sound. Ventus tried to rub the sleep in his eyes as he yawned. He crouched over to the bed table next to his bed and opened the drawer, seeing the two wayfinders that were sent to him.

Ventus let out a sigh before walking out of his room with both wayfinders in his pockets. He walked down the stairs as he realized the entire house was empty except him. He decided to walk over to the couch and laid down with an arm over his eyes. "I wonder where they went...." he said quietly to himself before spacing out and was thinking of everything that have happened earlier today. As Ventus was lost in his thoughts, he never heard the door opening. Vanitas walked in and closed the door behind him with a sigh. He looked over to the side of two room and saw Ventus laying on the couch and walked over without making much noise on the floor. He went over Ventus and lean down to one of his ears "Hey Ventus, you miss me?~" He said with a low voice catching the blonde completely off guard.

Ventus took off his arm over his eyes as he stared into golden orbs once he did. His face got red immediately and was about to look away when a hand on his chin stopped him. "You're really cute when you blush you know that?" Vanitas said and leaned down and kissed him on the lips. Nonetheless, the blonde kissed back. After they pulled away Ventus tried to get up and Vanitas complied to it as he got off and sit next to him once Ventus sat up. "So where did to you go?" Ventus asked. "Nowhere much... I just went over to mine and Sora's house for a bit." The raven said with a shrug. "You know...." Ventus started as Vanitas looked at him waiting for him to say what he's going to say. "I can't help but feel that all this isn't real. It feels like a dream in an eternal sleep.." Ventus said looking at Vanitas. "If this was a dream... What would you do when you wake up?" he asked waiting for a reply from the raven head. Vanitas let out a sigh and thought of what he should say. He looked back at the blonde before answering. "If this was a dream Ventus, if I were to wake up, I would find before I do anything else. You're the most important person in my life, I don't think I would come this far if I haven't met you. I would probably be doing something stupid and regretful things." Vanitas said meaning every word as he looked into Ventus' blue hues. 

Before Vanitas could say anything else, Ventus hugged him tightly clutching onto his shirt like it was for dear life. "Thank you...." he muttered as he loosened his grip. Vanitas slowly hugged him back trying to make him feel like nothing bad is going to happen. The two stayed like that for a couple minutes before letting go and parted. "Oh that's right, you wanted to give me something?" Vanitas said still wondering what it was. "O..oh yeah!" Ventus said as he dug inside him pocket pulling out a midnight black and green wayfinder. "My parents sent theses to me, they say that whoever you give this two, no matter how far away you are from each other, you'll always be together." Ventus explained as he handed Vanitas the midnight black one. Vanitas examined the wayfinder as he hung it on his fingers as the wayfinder dangles. 

"I accept." Vanitas said with a grin before pulling Ventus into and embrace. Ventus smiled with the raven's reaction. "Glad you do.." He said as he melted in the arms of Vanitas' embrace. After a few seconds they pulled away as both boys put their wayfinders safely in their pockets. "Hey you hungry?" Vanitas asked. "A little, why?" Ventus answered. "Let's go eat out then, I know a place." Vanitas said as he got up and pulled Ventus up with him and towards the door. "V..Vani w..wait!" Ventus cried out as he was practically almost being dragged by basically his boyfriend. Vanitas stopped and looked at him, "Something wrong?" he asked with a confused look on his face. Venus decided to shake off what he wanted to say as he shook his head. "N..never mind.." He said, which caused the raven to become even more confused, but he decided to shake it off. As the two boys finished putting on their shoes, they left out the door as they began walking with Vanitas leading the way.  

They arrived in a small little restaurant somewhere just outside their neighborhood. "I've never noticed this place before..." Ventus said looking up at the name of the restaurant. "XIII n VII? strange name." he commented before looking at Vanitas. Vanitas shrugged before taking Ventus' hand and walked in. As the two got in, they were greeted by a hostess that took them to a booth and set a menu, one each for the two teens. "I'll be back to get your order." the hostess said before walking away to a table to clear it. "So what do you want? Choose whatever." Vanitas said as the two looked at their menus. Ventus looked through the menu having a hard time to choose. "ummm...." he mumbled trying to figure out what to order. Vanitas chuckled at the blonde's expression on trying to decided what to order. "Having trouble?" he asked as Ventus looked up at him with a slight nod. "Why don't we just order one big thing and share that? It makes the deciding a lot easier" Vanitas siggested as Ventus agreed on the plan. After a few more minutes, the hostess came back to their table. 

"Have you decided what you two will order yet?" she asks as she got a notepad and pen out ready to take their order. "We'll have a large serving of Baked Butternut-Squash Rigatoni with two small side dishes of mashed potatoes. And we'll have two glasses of water as well" Vanitas told the hostess as she jotted everything down before going to the kitchen and handing the order to one of the chefs. "So what were you doing back at you house?" Ventus asked trying to come up with a conversation so it doesn't become too awkward. "I just went back to get a few things I need." Vanitas answered as Ventus nodded. Vanitas took Ventus' hands into his on top of the table and looks at him as their eyes lock on to each other's. "Hey Ven, I want you to promise me that if Larxenne or anyone else is bothering you, don't listen to them and tell me ok?" Vanitas said seriously as Ventus starts to look away and down at their hands. "I.. I don't want you to get involved in my problems Vani, I don't want to be a burden..." Ventus stuttered out. Vanitas continued to look at Ventus be gripping onto the blonde's hand as little tighter. "Ventus, you're never going to be a burden to me, I love you, and that will never change no matter what." The raven said as Ventus slowly looked up with a slight red blush on his cheeks. 

"I love you too Vani, more than anything in the world..." he said looked up at golden eyes with a small sincere smile as he received one back. After that they talked for a little while longer before a waitress brought them their orders. The two thanked her as they started to enjoy their dinner. "So where's Roxas and Sora?" Ventus ask before taking a sip of water. "They said something about going out with Axel, Xion, and Naminé to get some ice cream or something." Vanitas answered taking a small bite out of his mashed potatoes. "You didn't join them?" Ventus asked as the raven shook his head. " Why would I?" he said with a small simple shrug. The rest of the time the two make small talk as they finished eating and Vanitas payed for the entire meal much to Ventus' dismay as he kept trying to convince the raven to let him help pay, but that didn't work out. As they walked out of the restaurant, the two held hands as they walked home happily of the time that they just spend together. Little did they know, eyes were watching them from a good distance away. "That Strife boy has it coming for him, you and you friends know what to do right Seifer?" a female voice said as she couldn't take her eyes of the two boys holding hands one bit. 

"Yeah, yeah. Don't hurt Vanitas, not that anyone in their right minds would do." the teen named Seifer answered. "Alright, we'll do it at Axel's party...." the female voice said as the two split up and walked back to their home. Vantias thought he hear something in the darkness behind him, but when he looked, he saw nothing no matter how longer reached as he decided to shake his head from the thought and just continued to spend the night time that's left and shook off the thought that someone was watching them.
