Everyone finally left to go home for the day; it was already half past midnight. Just as I was about to leave, the office phone rang again. I thought about not picking up and going home, but my hand betrayed me.
"Hansen and Company," I spoke into the phone.
A familiar voice greeted me, "Jess, it's Simon. Look, I really need your help."
That's all that he needed to say for me to send out texts to everyone to come back into the office.
"Who is it?" Briar asked once everyone was situated.
"Harry Styles," I announced as I heard exasperated sighs in response from the team.
Before we reconvened for planning, I told the rest of the team what Simon had told me over the phone. Then we went about the case just like any of our other high profile cases. We pulled up as much information as we could find from the Internet, Simon's files and our pre-existing knowledge of Harry Styles.
"Harry Styles," Hattie introduced our client to the rest of the team. "21, bloody good-looking, member of One Direction—who are actually on break as of now."
"He's been labeled as the heart throb and heart breaker of that boy band," Cooper pitched in.
"What's his dating history like?" I said as my brain started clicking.
"We created it, Jess," Seth chimed in.
"Please refresh my memory," I demanded.
"Caroline Flack, Taylor Swift, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Nadine Leopold..." Hattie read off an impressive list of names that we, in part, helped develop.
"I don't know Flack, Swift is absolutely unattainable, Delevingne is swinging for the other team, Leopold is no longer relevant. Where's Kendall Jenner right now?" I asked everyone.
"California," Briar said after a few clicks on her computer.
We all sat around the table knowing what my next move would be. I dialed Simon Cowell's number and patiently waited to get through to him.
"Jess," his nonchalant voice greeted me.
"Simon," I replied courteously. "Where's Harry Styles right now?"
Simon and I briefly talked about Harry Styles' whereabouts before hanging up.
"Get Kendall Jenner on the line," I said as I looked into flights to Anguilla.
"Jess?" Kendall's voice came through the phone.
"Kendall, pack your bags, we're going to Anguilla," I said as I clicked the confirmation on the tickets to Anguilla.
"What?" she asked clearly confused.
"I'll explain when you're there, I'm sending you a ticket. See you tomorrow," I hung up before she could say anything.
Everyone started gathering up the papers and shutting down the computers. It was another exhausting day of protecting the rich and famous.
