~A lil bit of an intense chapter ahead~

Chapter 18

On the way back to the car I felt light with realization. Like a small weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I knew it but I was absolutely not admitting anything. Not until I was sure. His left hand was laced through my right with my head resting against his shoulder. He carried a small grin since we left the slide.

"I'm sorry I didn't get you a bear." He said as we made our way into the parking lot. I just chuckled.

"Whatever. I don't need a bear." I said laughing a bit. His shoulders shook lightly with soft laughter as he beeped his car keys. He open the passenger door for me and released my hand. I slid in to the car as graceful as possible with out making the low car shake. He shut the door once I was in then jogged to the drivers side. Once in and out of the parking lot his hand rested on my exposed thigh, fingers tapping to the beat of a song I didn't recognize.

"Curfews not till one thirty." I finally said glancing at the time on the radio. 12:09.

"I know." He said glancing over at me with a smirk. My eyebrows rose at him before he turned back to the road. He made a left off on an old road then a right up and graveled pathway. After a couple minute drive we pulled up to the old candy factory. Danny threw a grin at me and hopped out of the car going to the trunk. He then came to my door and offered a hand. I gave a weary smile and stood on my own. My eyes glanced down to the cooler in his left hand and raised an eyebrow as I shut to door.

"We weren't far and it's going to rain in a couple of days so I needed to put the couch back anyway." He said sheepishly. I rolled my eyes and stepped forward putting out my hand. How hard can a simple first move be? He grinned and laced his fingers through mine. He lead the way forward towards the door making sure to step over the thresh hold this time. We made it to the elevator and I stuck out my other hand for the cooler this time, no words said. He handed it to me and stepped forward cranking the doors. We both stepped in and he cranked the doors shut pressing the number twelve. We started our slow way up and he turned to me with a smirk.

"So we are in an elevator." He said with an over the top wink. I rolled my eyes at his boyish ways.

"You just can't get enough can you?" I asked biting my lip. A habit I seemed to pick up when I was nervous. Before I knew what was happening my back was pressed to the wall and the cooler bag was out of my hand on the floor.

"Not of you." He mumbled before crashing his lips into mine. This kiss was much more urgent than the previous. Everything we were both feeling flooded me with this, everything much more intense. His hand squeezing my hips, his shirt tight in my fists. Heat radiated off of him and I could feel the color rising to my face. We explored each others mouths with the passing minute before he pulled away kissing down my jaw panting. My chest rose and fell rapidly hitting his with every breath. Goosebumps rose over my back as his fingers lightly dug into my hips. I bit my lip as got lower towards my collar bone and shifted towards him as the elevator bumped. My heart raced as the bell dinged signaling we had reached the top. Danny paused and I coughed a little lowering my hands. He stepped away with a weary smile and cranked the door open. I bent down and picked up the cooler stepping out before him. I didn't turn around to se him as my face was on fire and listened as he cranked the doors shut. He came up behind me and lead us back to the old couch. He pulled the tarp off before plopping down on the couch and propping is feet up the on the large cooler before him.

"Come sit." He said patting the seat beside him. I walked over and sat down crisscross facing him. He put out a hand for the small cooler bag and I handed it to him. He unzipped it pulling out the bottle of wine from prom and a couple of solo cups.
