Chapter 7

Addison and I were on our way to my house. Once I pulled up I jumped out and turned to Addi.

"I'll be right back, I need to tell my dad and grabbed my wallet." She nodded and began typing at her phone. I shut the door and went up to the front door pulling out my keys. I unlocked the front door and was immediately greeted by my dad's booming voice.

"Hey Mel, I'm in the kitchen." He yelled. I smiled and shut the door heading his way.

"Hey dad." I said as I entered the kitchen.

"What's up kid?" He asked, stirring something in a skillet, tossing a smile over his shoulder.

"Oh nothing, I was just wondering if it was cool with you if Addi and I went dress shopping?" I asked leaning up against the counter.

"What time will you be back?" He asked

"Probably before eight. Maybe seven thirty." He nodded turning around.

"Okay that's fine. Dinner for you and her will be in the stove if you aren't back by then. Please be careful." He said opening his arms. I grinned and walked over giving him and hug.

"I love you. Call me if you need anything okay?" I asked stepping back. He rolled his eyes.

"Whatever. I love you too kiddo." I smiled and turned dashing up the stairs, holding my boobs. Busty girl problems. I grabbed my wallet and headed back downstairs. I never brought my wallet to school just a few bucks. I was about to head out the door when my dad stopped me.

"Here, buy yourself something pretty." He said winking at me and handed my a couple folded bills. I grabbed them giving him a look and unraveled them. In my hand was two hundred dollars. I looked up to him wide eyed.

"Get over it. Go get yourself a prom dress!" He exclaimed smiling, promptly pushing me out the door. I grinned.

"Thanks dad. Love you." I said. He said a small reply then shut the door. I shoved the money in my wallet, then shoved my wallet in my bag. I jumped back in the car and pulled out, heading for the mall. Addi looked over to me and grinned then hooked her phone up to the stereo of my little four door Altima. A white 2013 model to be exact. I love my car. Finally music rang through the car. XO by Beyoncé hit my ears and I smiled. I love this song. I sat back grinning and danced a little but focused of getting to the mall. I was just a tiny, little bit excited to go shopping . I had money. I had my best friend. I had a freaking date to prom. This had to be fun. We finally pulled up to the mall and hopped out racing for the door. We made our way in to Forever 21. We scanned some racks for Addison, arms full quickly. I finally paused.

"It's midnight masquerade. Your really want pink or bright colors in general?" She really thought for a minute then shook her head putting almost all the dresses back. We each had one for her to try on. She grabbed the shorter dark blue, ruffled dress from my arms then started walking. I just made a face and followed.

"Where are you going? The dressing rooms that way." I said catching up and pointing my thumb over my shoulder in the direction of the fitting rooms.

"We are looking for you too." I rolled my eyes but headed towards the back of the store with her. There were a couple racks of dresses but nothing stuck out. I scrunched my nose looking anyway but sighed as non of these would come close to fitting me properly. Busty girl problems strike again. I turned to Addi who was scanning through the racks of size 14 dresses with the same look.

"Just go try these on. We can go to Torrid." I said happily. I loved Torrid. It's my favorite plus size shop. Although they were a bit pricey. She sighed but listened anyway walking to the changing area. She had, had the blue ruffled dress that I picked out and a floor length, burgundy dress with a flower that took up the whole chest. She made her way in to a dressing room and shut the door. I waited a few moments before she stepped out in the blue dress. Addison was a very tall, very slender girl with dirty blonde hair. The dress was way to short and the ruffles weighed down her chest. To top it all off the ruffles on the skirt just made it all way to much. I scrunched up my nose and made a waving motion for her to go back into the dressing room. She nodded then turned and slipped in. She came out with the dark red dress on and spun.
