Chapter 9
Gummy bears. Potato chips. Reese's, Twizzlers, Skittles and more. It's was currently Friday night and Addison and I were bundled up on the couch, in our pajama's watching movies. Right now we were glued to Scream 4. It was the part when Kirby is answering scary movie questions with Ghostface. The scene had just ended so I paused the movie and stood up to stretch.
"We need more popcorn." I stated and grabbed the bowl. She nodded and grabbed her phone. She's on that thing a lot. I made my way to the kitchen. I put the popcorn in the microwave then grabbed the soda bottle to bring in with me.
Ethen was at his best friend's house and dad was out at a dinner for work. He said he would be back tomorrow morning as the dinner was in a couple towns over. The popcorn beeped so I poured it in the bowl and made my way to the living room. I plopped back down next to her, careful not to spill the popcorn or shake the soda to much. I got comfy under the blanket once again. She grabbed the soda from me refilling her glace and mine then proceed to shove a hand full of popcorn in her mouth. I grinned grabbing the remote about to press play when my phone rang. I groaned and grabbed it from the table to see it was Danny. I was about to ignore it but Addison squealed.
"Put it on speaker." She said clapping her hands happily. I sighed but answered it anyway, putting on speaker as well.
"Hello?" I said holding the phone closer to my face.
"What's your favorite scary movie?" It was the voice of Ghostface himself. I rolled my eyes and glanced towards a puzzled Addi.
"What do you want Danny?'
"Who was he? Your little boyfriend?" He asked in a mocking tone. The word 'was', no matter that I knew this was Danny, stuck to my brain for an extra half a second. Nothing more though."Nope." I said back.
"So you wouldn't mind if he went missing?" He asked. I got goose bumps at the thought of something sudden, per say murder, happening to him. It would be strange him just dropping out of my life, although he hasn't been here long.
"A little. That's human nature though, so technically you should feel remorse or guilt and if not, if not you should really get that checked out. That's not normal." I could here a very faint chuckling in the back ground. Addison giggled next to me.
"I realize this. You do know who I am right?"
"Yes, actually your documentaries are my favorite." I couldn't help the faint giggle that left my lips. I slapped a hand over my mouth trying to contain it.
"You got a smart mouth you know that?" His monotone voice was starting to lose it's stern touch.
"I've been told. So when should we start running and screaming? I've heard it adds a nice touch." I said giggling the whole sentence. Danny was full blown laughing by now. It rang through the phone hitting us like a tune. I grinned.
"Well I guess it's good to hear that you aren't dead. I do have a pretty bomb ass pro dress." He groaned but it still the Ghostface voice.
"I don't want to hear about you and your quote on quote 'bomb ass' prom dress that you won't let me see." I laughed.
"Good." He just hung up. I gaped at my phone and turned to Addison who was equally shocked. Before I could say anything my phone buzzed back to life with Danny's caller i.d. flashed across the screen. I swiped to answer once again and put the phone to my ear.
"Sorry I had to get rid of the Ghostface voice app." He said laughing. I rolled my eyes.
"Fun. Do you need something Danny?" I asked.
