Chapter 24

Melanie's P.O.V

My eyes fluttered open at the bright light that was now seriously disturbing me. I found myself curled into Danny, extremely close, when the sad realization hit me that I needed to pee. Now.

His arm was all the way around my waist and my head was rested on his chest. The arm that was lazily draped across his torso raised to pull back the covers gently off of myself but he rolled over and wrapped his left arm around my waist as well pulling me impossibly closer. The squeeze only urged my bladder more and I squirmed the slightest bit half on top of him trying not to wake him. The Fun song blared through out the room and Danny let a small grin come through in his tired state.

Saved by the bell.

"Hello." He said peeking one eye open. I smiled and pecked his cheek but wiggled out of his grip quickly.

"One minute." I called out quietly grabbing the phone and rushing to the bathroom. I sat on the toilet in sweet relief and answered the call.

"Good morning Addison." I said in a sarcastic voice.

"Yeah more like good afternoon. Ooh, did you have a long night with your boy toy?" She asked. I pulled the phone away and checked the time only to stun myself with it being noon.
"No, you ass. What do you want?" I asked leaning back.

"Wanna hit the beach with us? We were planning to make a day of it and decided that if you guys wanted to come you could." She said as I finished up my business and quickly brushed my teeth. I didn't answer her and hustled back to my room.

"Want to go to the beach with dumb and dumber?" I asked plopping back down on to the bed.

"Again?" He asked letting his arms snake around my waist and pull me back down into him.

I could get used to this.

"Sure why not?" I whispered back. He simply nodded and snuggled into my neck.

"How much time do we have?" I asked.

"I'll give you an hour. Normal place." She said then hung up. I chuckled and placed the phone back on the nightstand. Danny pulled me tight into his side then pulled the covers up to our chins.

"We have somewhere to be now." I said getting comfy curled up in his side. This guy was like a freaking werewolf.

"That's your fault." He said squeezing my hip.

"Whatever dude." I said shutting my eyes. Moments like this were new and rare so Addi could wait a couple minutes. My arm rested across his stomach and I could feel, as well as hear, the rumble of hunger.

"Come on, lets get food and I need to talk to my dad anyway." I said pulling away. He sighed and reluctantly let me go. The cold hit me with force and stood rolling on to my toes and letting my arms stretch high above my head. My back curled as it popped and a new since of being awake hit me. Much better.

I turned around to see Danny sat up with his phone blatantly pointed at me in a 'I just took a picture' motion. One hand rested at my waist and the other pointed at him in a scolding manner.

"You better delete that." I said in a warning tone. He rolled his eyes at me.

"Why would I want to forget that perfect sight?" He asked with a smirk. I raised my eyebrow at him and gave him a challenging eye.

"Whatever. I'll be back." I mumbled as I walked out. He just chuckled at me but stayed put. I carried myself down the stairs, knowing dad would have made breakfast and they would be down here, only to find us abandoned with a note on the table. He took Ethen out most weekends because he was so busy with work during the week. I got that. The note said they'd be back before dinner and that breakfast was in the oven. He didn't forget to mention no funny business either. I wrote down on the same notepad that we were going to the beach, funny business was not in the agenda, and that I'd be back by dinner.
