"Love, I've been ringing your bell relentlessly!" Announced Louis.
He's here.
I wrenched open my door, and pulled him inside, luggage and all. He enveloped me into a hug and I held on to him for all I was worth. It has been so long since I saw him, you know. We stayed like that for a long time, each promising the other that we will always be by each other's side, no matter what happened. Until I saw him, I never realized how desperately I needed him around me. Louis became so special to me, so wanted in such a short period of time, I guess we both don't comprehend how deep our feelings for each other go.
Woah, I'm getting emotional.
I leaned into his comfort, as our bone-crushing squeeze changed into arms lazily slung over each other's backs. I missed this so much. I never knew what was living alone until now, having experienced first hand loneliness and self-pity in the past month. His presence itself made me so happy and relaxed. And God, he looked adorable. His messy fringe over his slightly drooped eyes, a tired smile and rosy cheeks. He was dressed in his usual Adidas. Blue, this time. He kissed my forehead and let me go to close the door.
"Quite a good flat you've got," Louis observed, as he took off his jacket, revealing even more Adidas. He looked around. "I mean, I've seen most of it on video but still, it's cute."
I faked a hurt expression, widening my eyes. "You're calling a house cute? Perhaps you've let it slip from your mind your girlfriend is over here?" I pointed to myself. He kissed me once, before motioning to the couch. I followed him, a tad bit slowly, because of my leg.
Louis walked over sat down on the couch and then looked up at me. I was still basically crawling, gripping my one-seater and then the couch to hoist myself. He suddenly seemed to realize I had a broken foot. Like a flash of lightning, he was up on his feet and helped me, as I led my way through and onto the couch.
"I almost forgot you had this." He lightly tapped my toe as he sat down on the floor instead and cradled my foot into his lap.
"So did I," I chuckled. He laughed and then began feeling up my instep. "What are you even doing?" I groaned. "It's tickling me somehow and I might just jerk my ankle."
Louis nodded and took a seat beside me. I smiled at him and pouted my lips at him. He pouted back. "I've missed you. So much. Skype is bullshit."
"So have I. But I'm glad you're here now. " I made a bold move and pecked him on his lips. "Are you tired?"
He nodded. "Wanna sleep with me?" I winked. "I'll make it worth your while." He grimaced. "Come on. Don't be shy."
"You're horrendous. Shut up."
"Hey. Don't be rude. I can have you thrown out of here in a matter of seconds." I clicked my fingers to emphasize.
A loud squeal escaped my lips as Louis picked me up bridal style and walked towards the kitchen. I looked up at him questioningly.
"I'll help myself out, thank you very much."
"Louis, this is the kitchen."
"Oh. Right. Where's the bedroom?"
I pointed behind him. "Knew you'd come around."

"Louis!" I shook my sleeping boyfriend's shoulder urgently. "Louis! Wake up please!"
"What's wrong?" Said boyfriend looked at me from under the blanket and frowned. Before I could say anything, the smoke carried into the bedroom and his eyes widened. "What the hell?!" He shouted as he threw the covers over and rushed out into the living room.
The stove was on fire.
After a small back-and-forth over my sanity being damaged within a month we were apart, Louis and I crawled onto the unmade bed and slept like babies, until I sneezed out of nowhere and couldn't go back to sleep after. Deciding to impress my lovely man and to thank him for 'sleeping' with me, I merely tried to heat up left over pasta from last night, when the cooing of a bird resounded throughout the kitchen.
Now, I'm not one of those nature enthusiasts who ponder over why a cow has four feet, but this intrigued me deeply because it seemed awfully close. My spatula in hand, I undertook the job of finding out where the source of cooing was, and whether there was a bird sharing the house with me. After ten minutes of searching, I found the bird perched on the ledge of the window in the spare bedroom, and then proceeded to spend another five minutes to catch its attention.
The moral of this story is, never let me cook. Which is fine by me.
My pasta had literally caught fire. I didn't even know this was possible but I was never good at chemistry. Now if reproduction would have been involved I would know what to do. But sadly, that wasn't the case.
Panicking, I rushed to the bedroom and shook Louis awake. He rushed out to the kitchen, leaving me to manage a spatula and a mangled ankle which he had 50% role in breaking. This man keeps disappointing me on this front.
"Where the fuck is the fire extinguisher?" Fireman Louis exclaimed and bent down to look for the item. He pulled the red cylinder out and sprayed it all over the stove thrice. We scrunched up our noses and squinted our eyes to check whether the extinguisher did it's job. Gradually, the smoke spread. The fire was put out, and we sighed in relief. I looked to the heavens and noticed the fire alarm. They hadn't yet kicked into action. Maybe they were faulty. But still, please don't make it rain, dear fire alarms. They listened to my prayers and didn't burst into showers of aqua.
He looked at me while I was praying to the fire alarm, and my features made him worried. "Are you alright?" He questioned. I nodded my head. "I have to show you something cool." I said, and awkwardly pulled him to my guest bedroom.
Leading him to the window, I pulled the cream colored curtains back and pointed toward my ledge. "Look."
Louis peered out, blinked for exact 10.4 seconds and then turned back to me. "There's nothing here."
"What?" I pushed him away and looked for myself. There indeed weren't any signs of a bird, or any animals for that matter. "Where did it go?"
"Where did what go?" He asked, after laughing so hard tears came out his eyes.
"The bird! There was a bird on the ledge! It was literally inside the house. Stupid motherfu-"
I was silenced by a kiss. "I love you."
