Anne felt her heart break into a thousand pieces as she saw Steve kissing that girl. She tried to hide her sadness, but her voice came out harder than intended as she said, "Steven."
Steve instantly pulled away from the girl and quickly turned to her, his eyes wide. "Mr. Stark is ready for you. If you're not busy," Anne told him. She then turned around and began to walk away.
"Anne! That's not what you thought it was," Steve said as he quickly rushed after her. "I don't think anything. Not one thing," Anne said. Steve stared at her for a moment before he stopped walking.
"What about you and Bucky?" He asked causing the girl to turn around and look at him in shock. "How do I know you two don't have feelings for each other? How do I know you two haven't been fonduing? You two have known each other for forever," Steve said in frustration.
Anne blinked in surprise for a second, the whole fonduing thing throwing her for a loop, but her face quickly contorted in anger."Yeah, we have known each other for forever which is why you should know that he's practically my brother! But you really don't know anything, do you?" She yelled at him. Steve blinked in surprise, but before he could say anything else, Anne had stormed off.

After some much needed time to cool off, Anne finally went back inside of the lab. She was still willing herself not to cry. After all, no girl should cry over some boy.
Anne made her way over to the lab doors and took a deep breath before opening the doors. Everyone's eyes were immediately on her and she felt her face heat up slightly as she realized that they had all heard her and Steve yelling at each other.
The brunette gave them an awkward smile before making her way to the back of the room and to where her stuff was. She was about to start grabbing her things when a voice called out to her asking, "What do you think?"
Anne hesitated before turning her head to look at the man. Steve was standing there with a cute grin on his face as he held up a round shield. His blue eyes stared at her nervously and Anne stood there for a moment completely mesmerized by the being that was Steve Rogers.
But then she remembered what had happened and why she was upset in the first place and her sadness turned into anger. She didn't even think twice before grabbing the nearest weapon off of a table. The gun was heavy in her hand as she lifted it up and pointed it at Steve, but she knew he wouldn't get hurt.
Steve's eyes widened and he held up the shield right as Anne shot at him four separate times, each time the shield deflecting the bullet. She put the gun down and Steve hesitantly looked up from behind the shield, his eyes wide as he stared at her.
The room was deafly quiet as everyone stared at the girl in shock. Anne just smirked, tears in her eyes as she said, "I think it works."
And with that Anne turned and walked out of the room, not being able to stand being in the same room as him anymore. She quickly walked out of the building and was met with rain. Anne sighed, tears not rolling down her cheeks, but didn't stop as she advanced into the rain and in the direction of her tent.
She hadn't made it that far before Steve's voice rang out in the air. "Anne!" He yelled and by the time in his voice Anne could tell he was angry. The girl ignored him and kept walking which only made Steve angrier as she quickly wiped the tears away from her face.
