Epilogue

Cold and confused. Those were the first two things Anne felt as soon as she gained consciousness. Cold and confused.

Anne let out a small groan as her eyes fluttered open. The last thing she remembered was the cold water surrounding her as she had been ripped away from Steve.

Steve!

Anne quickly went to sit up but let out a strangled noise when she realized that she couldn't move. She tried to move her hands and glanced down to see that she was restrained. Anne started breathing heavily as she struggled against the restraints, a bad feeling washing over her.

What was happening? Where was she? Where is Steve?

The sound of footsteps drawing near was enough to have Anne freezing in her spot. The footsteps drew nearer until a man came into view. She didn't even bother looking at his face as her eyes fixed themselves on the familiar red logo on the man's chest.

Hydra.

Anne began to move against the restraints again and the man let out a loud laugh before smirking at her.

"Welcome back, Miss Lancaster."

Captain America will return in The Avengers

it's over and I honestly don't know how to feel. I had a lot of fun writing this book and it's crazy to think that it's over. it ended up being longer than I intended but oh well 🤷🏼‍♀️

anyways, I hope you all like this book and thanks for sticking with me! don't worry, you have definitely not seen the last of Anne and neither has Steve ;)
