Forbidden Love (Student/Teacher relationship)

Chapter 9

I woke up, I am in a hospital. Oh my God the pain, that is unreal. I opened my eyes to find Emily and her parents to be standing by my bed.

"What day is it?"

"It is Wednesday, 1st of march. Erin you have been in a coma for the past three weeks."

"What you kidding me? Three weeks. Did my mom show?"

"Sorry I am not kidding. No she didn't, we called and she just screamed I don't care and other stuff. I am guessing she was drunk Josh visit though and we couldn't get through to your dad."

I saw a teddy bear beside my bed on the locker, I picked it up. It had a card on the side, I opened the card and it was from Dan. I just smiled like an idoit. I am guessing Dan was worrying about me. Well I don't think just Dan worried about me, people from school had presents and flowers sent here for me. That night I text Dan, to let him know I am alright. A second later Dan called. I answered.

"Hello"

"O my God, it is so good to hear your voice. Baby I have missed you so much. Are you alright?"

"Babe I am fine, I just broke my leg and two fingers. I miss you so much too. "

About a week later the hospital let me out. Emily's parents signed me out considering I don't know where my dad is and my mom practically disowned me. When we arrived at Emily's house I saw my car in the drive way.

"How did my car get back here?"

"My parents got your keys off the hospital and drove here."

Next day I went back to school, I couldn't miss anymore school because the leaving cert is only a few weeks away. Emily pushed me in my wheelchair for; it was harder to wheel it myself because I broke two fingers. Lucky our school is wheelchair friendly, it has lifts and they were in use to people in wheelchairs. I am terrified of elevators, I afraid that I might get stuck in one. Emily made sure I wasn't alone in one.

Everyone was really nice to me. I think they feel sorry for me. I had an excuse to be late to class. Teachers seemed surprised that I am back so soon after waking up from a coma. Last class I had biology, I seen Dan for the first time after waking up. I felt so happy. Dan looked happy to see me too. At the end of class as Emily was wheeling me out of class, Dan text me to come over later.

I have time considering I have no work for a while. I wheeled myself to Dan's house, I know it was crazy but I did. Dan answered the door

"How did you get here?"

"I wheeled myself here."

"Babe you shouldn't do that. I have to tell you something."

Dan wheeled me into his living room.

"Look at this" said Dan Showing me a piece of paper, I read it. It said "I know about Erin and you." I was shocked.

"Who knows about us Erin?"

"Emily is the only one that knows and she wouldn't tell a soul. That is not her writing though."

"Babe I love you and all but I think I am going to have end this or if not I can go to jail." Said Dan; Tears built up in my eyes, but in reality I knew we were going to last.

I left Dan's house without hearing the rest he has to say. I wheeled myself back to Emily's house and went inside and cried. Emily came into in the living room to find me crying. She hugged me.

"Baby what's wrong?"

"Dan broke up with me because someone knows about us."

"Wow he's a dick. Babe don't mind him let's get some ice-cream and watch a movie."

During the movie I get a phone call from my doctor saying, I need surgery and that it has to be next week or if not some organs can erupt. I just broke down crying Emily hushed me to sleep.

I woke up the next day at 1pm, I am well too late for school. Why didn't Emily wake me up? I text Emily saying "Hey how come you didn't wake me up?" Emily text back a few minutes later saying "Babe you are dealing with a lot, you need to rest."

I stayed home that week; I just studied and did homework Emily collected for me. The day came, time for surgery. I was so scared; Emily took the day off school to be there for me. After the surgery I felt all dizzy and sleepy. Emily's parents drove me home and brought me up to bed. They were treating like I am one of their own.

After a few days I was able to walk a bit. Emily still helped me around school. We went to biology class; I didn't look at Dan for the class. At the end of class a guy Luke came up to me, and asked me would I like to go out sometime. I thought he was pretty cute and since I am no longer with Dan I said yeah sure.

I could tell Dan heard that and he looks to be a bit jealous. Emily was helping me out of class and Dan called me. Damn I don't want to deal with at the moment. Emily left and told me she'll wait for me at the lockers.

"Yes?" I said trying to be nice as possible;

"You haven't been replying to my texts and calls. I'm sorry, I was an ass."

"Yeah I have been busy with surgery and stuff, you would know that if you weren't such a dick."

"Surgery? OMG I now feel horrible. Babe can you please forgive me, I am sorry?"

Why do I have to be so nice? I could never hate or be mad at Dan for long.

"Yeah I forgive you."

"Were you jealous about Luke asking me out?"

"Me Jealous psstt no, why what makes you think that?"

"Oh nothing."

The next minute Dan grab me and pull me closer and kiss me. He puts me on the table and spread my legs, let's say that kissing went on to "experimenting" cough cough biology.
