Chapter 30

I stayed locked in the bedroom to think about things, it is Christmas eve and Sophie wants our engagement party tomorrow. I only just gave birth to two kids never mind one, but two. I was only purposed to last night and Sophie wants our wedding in like a week. People take months to plan about weddings. It's the holidays what shop will be open for wedding dresses? Oh bet Grace would have that sort too perhaps.

Dan is knocking on the door.

“Babe can you open up please, I am sorry I didn't say my wedding was practically planned for years. I want to marry you, because I love you not because of my mother. Erin open up.”

“If you love me then leave me alone. I got to think.”

“Okay if you wish.”

Dan's pov:

Seriously they really want Erin to go running out the door on me. It is like they don't want me to have a relationship, the family are so pushy with marriage. I only purposed to her last night and Sophie is already has the dates planned and I guarantee you my mother has everything else covered.

I left Erin to be alone and went down stairs furious. I went into the kitchen to find Sophie sitting at the table.

“Sophie can you please stop being so pushy with this marriage business. I only purposed to Erin last night and you already planning dates.”

“Yeah Dan that was all mom's idea.”

“You told mom?!”

“Er yeah.”

“Ah Sophie.”

“Mom is going to push the marriage to ASAP and I don't want to rush into things and I am pretty sure Erin doesn't either.”

“Oops sorry I was really happy and excited about the whole thing.”

“Who else did you tell?”

“Eh, Alex.”

“That all?”

“Well I thought Erin can tell Emily and Josh.”

“Will you please excuse me while I tell Alison the news before you spill.”

I went to Alison's to find on her floor playing with her barbies.

“Hey kido, I got some news to tell you?”

“What, that you are getting married to my mom?”

“How did you know?”

“ I heard Sophie talking.”

“Oh.”

Alison came over and hugged me and whispered “Now we can be a real family.”

I kissed her on the forehead and went back up to Erin to see can I convince her to come out. When I went into the bedroom, I saw the door unlocked. I went inside to check was Erin there. No she was gone, I went back into the bedroom to find a letter on the bed. I picked it up

"Dear Dan, I am gone to Emily's. I need to clear my head. I'll be home soon. Erin xox"

Oh great she is gone. Who knows when she will decide to come home. I went down stairs and asked Alison will she like to help decorate the Christmas tree with me.

Erin's pov:

I drove to Emily's place, with tears nearly running down my face. I am so stressed out and under pressure. I knocked on the door, a minute later Emily opened the door. Her face lit up when she saw me, then it dropped when she saw my face.

“Erin what's wrong? Please come in.”

I walked in to find Darren and Jake doing the Christmas tree.

“Erin what's the matter?”

“Em Dan purpose to me last night?”

“What you don't want to marry him? Did you turn him down.”

“No.”

“Then what?”murmur Emily

“Sophie already is planning the wedding and she wants it in a week and our engagement party tomorrow.”

“Yikes that's rough.”

“Yeah well Dan's wedding has been practically planned since he was ten.”

“Oh gosh, what's up with marriages. Erin think about it this way, you don't need to plan anything. I say Grace has everything perfect. Live life while you're young and don't over think things.” Said Emily as she handed me a tissue.

“What about the honeymoon?”

“I'm sure that's planned and I can look after the kids with Sophie.”

I hugged Emily, she always knows what she is talking about. She always makes me feel better. I went home after two hours, I seen Dan and Alison messing while decorating the house. Alison saw me and came running Screaming “Mommy.” She wrapped her arms around my waist, hugging me. Dan came up to me and kissed me on the forehead.

“Mommy you got to help me and Daddy decorate.” said Alison pulling towards the living room. I put the radio on with some Christmas songs on. We decorated all of down stairs. When we finished with got into our Pj's and had some hot chocolate while watching the movie polar express. Alison loves it, she fell asleep during it, so I carried her to bed while Dan walked behind me.

I went back into the kitchen after putting Alison to bed. Sophie has the twins in their pram asleep.

“Erin if you don't want to get married so soon, I am not going to make you. You can decide when you want the wedding, because I love you and I want you to be happy.”

“No I have thought about it let's do it.”

Dan looked a bit shocked.
