Chapter 17

I woke up with a head ache. Did I drink last night? I don't think so, I remember last night pretty clearly, like how can I forget that. That was something. I feel like rubbish. I think am I going to vomit, Oh no I am going to get sick. I ran to the toilet and I got sick. Alison came in.

"Are you Okay ?"

"I'm fine sweetie, just not well."

Alison ran out the bathroom and I threw up again. Emily came running in. She grabbed my hair and held it back. "Are you alright? Did you drink last night?"

"I didn't drink, I think I might just have a bug. Can you bring Alison to school please?"

"Okay babes, but promise me you'll get some rest."

"Thanks. Yes I will. "

Three thirty I was lying on the sofa, watching TV. Castle repeats were on. I love Castle, he's character is really funny. I am really hungry, but I can't seem to hold anything down. Darren came in with Jake and Alison.

"Hey, how're you doing? Emily is gone to work, so I am dropping the kids off."

"Hey I am doing Okay, thanks. "

"Will you like me to make you something?"

"No thanks, I can't seem to keep anything down, but thanks."

"Okay, I am going to head off to work now, bye take care."

"Bye and thanks"

Darren is a nice chap, he's really nice to Emily and me. I got to say Emily did good with picking her man. Mine is just happened to be my biology teacher. Don't get me wrong Dan is a good guy. But some reason I feel I don't know him that well. He never seems to talk about himself. He doesn't talk about his family or anything.

There was a knock on the door, I was about the door, But Alison ran to the door.

"Daddy!" She screamed with joy as she hugged him.

"Is your mom home?"

"Yeah, is not well."

Dan ran into the living room where I was. "What are you doing here?"

"I bumped into Emily and she said you're not well so I decided, to check on you."

Uh Emily, why. He's my boyfriend, I didn't want Dan to worry about me.

"I am fine really."

Just after I said that I ran to the bathroom to vomit. Dan ran after me, he held my hair back.

"Fine, huh?"

"Well it's not as if I was never sick before."

"Well I am not leaving you."

"Uh fine, suit yourself."

"I will."

I went back to the sofa, to watch more castle. Dan sat on the arm chair beside me. "Oh I love castle."

"Yeah same, I have been watching the repeats all day."

Alison and Jake came into me, they both had cards they made.

"Here we made you a get well soon card." I took the cards off them and looked at them.

"Aw thank you." I said as I hugged them.

"Are we going to have dinner soon?" asked Jake

Dinner fuck, I forgot about that. Emily is working late tonight. Before I said something Dan got up.

"I'll make dinner."

20 minutes later Something smells good. Walked into the kitchen, to find Dan dishing up chicken curry. Mm.. it looks good. Jake and Alison, gather around the table as Dan, puts the dinner on the table. I sat the idle on a stool.

"You can have some if you want some."

"Yeah I don't think that would be a good Idea, I would probably throw it back up and I like my curry really spicy. "

"you have to eat something. I'll make you some toast it seems to help the stomach."

"Fine."

Nine O' clock The kids were in bed asleep. Who knew Dan is a miracle worker. He is really good with children. He read them a bedtime story and kissed them goodbye. Is Dan the one for me? Would he be the one? I am lying in Dan's arms lying on the sofa. CSI: New York is on the TV, but we aren't really watching it.

"What's on your mind, Erin? There's something bugging you."

"Em, it's nothing."

"If it was nothing, then why is it bugging you?"

Uh, hate his smart answers.

"Em I don't feel like I really know you."

"Oh. What do you want to know then?"

"You."

"Em, I come from a small family with Two brothers and one sister. I was the eldest. My father died when I was 12. I had ti help run the house and look after my siblings. My mother went into a depression. Even though we had money, it didn't fill the hole in her heart. It's true when they say money doesn't buy happiness. I love Science and teaching so I became a biology teacher."

Wow that was sad, I feel bad.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be, I know I can be very closed up. I have never really told anyone that before, but then again I was never really close with someone before you. Erin I love you. "

Am I dreaming, this doesn't seem like reality.

"I love you too. I want to hold you in my arms forever."

"Come." said Dan as grabs my hand.

He brings me to my bedroom. He takes off, his clothes until, he is in only his boxers. He climbed into bed beside me. He wrapped his arms around me.

"Your mine."

I fell asleep instantly.

I woke up about 8:15, Dan's still in my bed. I broke through Dan's arms and ran for the bathroom. I started vomiting again. Dan came in.

"Are you alright? Still sick?"

"Yeah."

"Oh you better hurry or you'll be late for work, school starts in 45."

"Or maybe I can call in sick and stay here to look after you."

"No don't do that. I am fine. Go to work."

"Alright, fine."

About ten I realized I hadn't vomit in while. I ate an apple to see can hold down food. Getting sick two mornings in a row. It can't be or could it be. Am I pregnant again?
