We grow up thinking, that being with strangers is wrong.
That they are the ones to gain fear from.
But reality is, strangers are everyone.
Every direction you look, with every person you meet, is truly a stranger to me.
Never will I understand the difference between you and them.
Never will anyone truly know a person
So, in reality, everyone is the stranger.
The bus driver that takes you home every day and knows where you live doesn't know you.
The sweet old lady down the street with lots of cats that waves as you walk by knows nothing outside of that smile and wave.
The guy you see joke around in class is nothing but laughs.
The girl that smiles in the hallway is hiding behind her looks.
Your best friend even has kept millions of things from you without even realizing it.
The day you are born, you are rushed into the arms of two strangers that you live with for quite a while, but that doesn't mean you truly know them.
You walk into a new environment hoping to meet everyone's expectations, but everyone is also a stranger.
None of it matters.
People are dangerous and people are loving.
Some can be kind and some can be killing.
The fact that they're strangers determines nothing.
It is ourselves that we must work to understand.
Once we know who we are, we know what we can withstand.
We grow up thinking, that being with strangers is wrong.
That they are the ones to gain fear from.
But reality is, strangers are everyone.
