*****Hazel's POV*****
"Okay class so if x is greater then 7 but not greater then 2 how mant possiblities of what the number could be are there?" Mr. Lisonel asked.
"Are we really doing possibilities right now? thats so third grade." My best friend Maya whispered to me.
"I know but atlease its easy!" I responded.
"Oh great Miss. Saleem would like to tell us the answer." Mr. Lisonel called me out for talking. "Go ahead. tell us."
I huffed. "5."
"Great, there are 5. So how do we decide which of the 5 is the correct answer Miss. Tyson." Mr. Lisonel called on Maya
Maya was about to answer but the PA system interrupted up.
"Goodmorning NYSA 107 students, this is public service announcement. All staff bring your kids to the auditorium, NYSA is in for a big surprise. Sit in your normal assembly seats. See ya down there."
"I hate these things." Mr. Lisonel put down his chalk. "Come along now"
"I wonder what it is." Maya grinned. I shrugged & got up. She followed behind & we caught up to Alyssa.
Alyssa grabbed my arm. "What if it was like Chris Brown. My sister told me when she went here they had B2k come & perform for them."
"Yeah. Your sister went here back in 2005. When they had money, now this school is super poor. I'm pretty sure they're just handing out awards." Maya scrunched up her face.
"Yeah, it probably is something dumb like that but it beats being in Mr. Lisonel's class." I said & my girls.
NYSA 107 was a really small school actually. You had to audition to get it & not many people made it. We had a population of 312 kids in our whole school. My cousins had that many kids in his freshman class over at PF150 High school so imagine how many there was in the whole school. Because we had a small population we all fit in the auditorium at the same time & still had seats left over.
"Goodmorning NYSA 107." Our principal Mrs. Greeding walked on the stage.
"GOODMORNING!!!!" The audience replied.
"I promise I didn't bring you down here for any of those boring award ceremonies. I got something way cooler."
"What could it be?" Maya asked.
"We don't know My, we're in the same boat as you." Alyssa laughed.
Maya rolled her eyes & focused back on Mrs. Greeding.
"Are ya'll ready for what I have in store for you all?"
The crowd screamed yes.
"Well put your hands together & welcome teen sensations Mindless Behavior"
The curtain flew open & they started performing off rip before I could even grasp what was going on.
I heard screams & felt my arm being tugged.
"Oh. Me. Gawd, Oh.Me.Gawd." Maya held onto my arm screaming.
I started screaming too.
We calmed down & started singing along.
"Where is Mrs. Right I got to see her, travel all around the world just to meet her. get me on a flight." We sung, well more so screamed along.
I smiled looking at the boys I fan girled about all the time.
They wore matching Varsity jackets w. MB on the side. & their names on the back. Roc Royal had on a blue one, w. light denim skinny jeans & a snapback. Ray had on a purple one w. black skinny jeans & goggles, which he hadn't wore in a while. Princeton had on a green varsity jacket w. khaki cargo shorts & his hair in a puff ball. Prodigy wore a red jacket w. black cargo shorts .
They ended Mrs. Right & started into future.
I was stuck
"And when i'm older i'm a know just what to do w. ya because the future's looking bright." The crowd sung along.
"Alr. Of course we had to start off w. our originals. Who ready for the new songs?" Prod screamed into the mic as the beat to future played.
The crowd went wild.
He talked into the mic again. "How about this?" Keep her on the low started playing. He dropped the mic & started dancing.
All the girls went crazy.
They performed. Favorite song, forever, brightside & Used to be.
"Alright we wanna thank ya'll for being such a great audience." Ray Ray grabbed the mic.
"But it ain't over." Roc Royal added.
The crowd went wild, I went wild.
"Thats my booo!! him & Prodigy." I grabbed Maya & Alyssa.
They both knew how much I loved them.
"I wonder if they're going to take pictures after." Alyssa said.
Maya eyes grew large. "I sure hope so."
"We're going to perform one last song, its not our song but its dedicated to ya'll" Princeton spoke.
Just then B5 "dance for you" started playing.
Me & Maya grew happy. This used to be their favorite song. They had a dance routine to it.
The boys danced their hearts out on stage.
Prodigy grabbed the mic as the song died down. "Alr if ya'll thought ya'll school surprised ya'll We about to surprise ya'll ten times better. We're holding auditions...."
He got cut off while the crowd screamed.
"Auditions for two female dancer to be able to win a chance to perform w. us on our 3 cities 2 days Christmas tour next month. Auditions held after school here in the auditorium from 3-4:30. Be here ladies or be lame." The crowd screamed again as the boys left the stage.
