Who knew?

Chapter 42

Mom lasted until after Darcy's 1st birthday. That was almost a month ago. Now I'm here in Florida on my knees in front of her fresh grave. I place down the stargazing lillies, her favorite flower, I bow my head and talk.

  "Hey mom, I miss you already. Seems like just yesterday you were taking us kids to the park. Me and jess being only 4 Steve was 9. You know as I see Darcy grow up I just can't believe that she's still my baby girl, speaking of which I think I may be having another baby, tony doesn't know yet, anyway I love you mom but I have to go"  I say as I walk back to the car and I get in. I drive back to the house and walk in to see Louis and tony and Steve watching TV. I see Bruce and his kids ruff housing in the back. Jess is in the kitchen. I set down the keys and tony sees me.

"Hey babe, Darcy is asleep" I nod and then walk in a little further.

"Where's dad?" I ask as Jess looks at me.

"He's in his bedroom" I nod and walk into the bedroom. I lightly knock on the door and he looks at me. I sit by him.

"You know you look like your mom.. Even though I'm not you're real dad." He said as I laughed a bit. He pushed a curl out of my tear stained face.

"She hated when you girls cried. It broke her heart" he said quietly as I hugged him and stood up.

"I guess I better go check on Darcy" I said as I walked out. Tony stopped me and held my face in his hands. He kisses my head and hugs me.

"Tony how would you feel about another baby?" I ask as he looked at me.

"I would like one, but Darcy is barley a year old" he said as I nodded.

"Well what if I'm already pregnant?" I ask as he looks confused at me.

"Are you saying ?" He asks as I sigh.

"I don't know for sure yet but I'm thinking I am" I say as he smiles and kisses me. I smile a bit and we sit down. Louis and Steve stand up.

"We have news!" They said as they held hands.

"Lou and I are gonna adopt a baby!" Steve said as we cheered a bit. Bruce came in with the kids and they looked a little green.

"Why do the kids look green?" Jess asked as the concerned mother she is.

"Well two are covered in grass stains the other just has my genes. It got a little rough out there" he said as I laughed. My phone rang. I looked at it to see it was the doctor. I answered it and went into another room.

"Hello?" I say as the lady speaks.

"Hello yes is this jasmine stark?" She asks as I in hale a little.

"This is her " I say as she speaks.

"Yes I'm calling with your results you are definitely pregnant, congratulations " she said as I smiled a bit.

"Thank you good bye" I say as I hang up and went back into the living room. Tony smiles at me.

"Who was that?" He asked as I sighed.

"The doctor, it's true I'm pregnant again" I whisper as he smiles and hugs me then frowns.

"Another 9 months of waiting..... Great" he said as I laughed and slapped his arm. I then look around the room to see my perfectly imperfect family that has had its losses and is getting its new members and just laugh at how happy we all are even after a loss of a really close loved one.
